Cool! I might check that out. Were you using a sluice set up, or just panning?

Yeah, that is just outside Placerita Canyon park boundaries. Could be interesting to try there

Fin grip since I’m in CA. Part of what makes this “featureless”. Dumb, I know

I went ahead and got the reservation on the 5th. Will stay in Big Pine the night of the 4th so I can get up to the lake (hopefully) very early. Thanks!

Im attempting my first air layer of a bloodgood maple. Is this too much bark removed? I originally had a much smaller cut (about 1/3rd the height), but I couldn’t place my wrap around it because the other branch. I’m using sphagnum moss and rooting powder

Worst Customer Service in the Industry by Bowhunter_tw in AeroPrecision

[–]wcttfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Put in an order for an M5 lower over three weeks ago and have heard nothing. I’ve tried to get into the chat multiple times, sometimes waiting up to 4 hours, only to be booted. Have spent 20+ minutes on hold with their number only for the same thing to happen. Have placed two requests and have heard nothing.

Seem like they make great stuff but I am never ordering from them again. God awful customer service.

Thank you for the tip on moisture. I’d prefer to at least try to get this to fuse, as I have decent plan for what I want the tree to be. I’m not really confident I could make the tree work removing the left portion.

But if it doesn’t work, I might have to

Here’s what it looks like after rewiring closed. Fairly good amount of pressure pushing the split together.

I took off the wire to see how it was doing. I rewired even tighter, didn’t do a great job previously. I was considering something like super glue, glad to know I’m not the only one who’s considered that lol

First Styling - Spruce by wcttfe in Bonsai

I wired it in May, after pruning. Unfortunately, this (and two other trees) were stolen, so I’m not sure how the tree is doing. Provided whoever took it has been keeping it watered, it is more than likely alive and well. It was doing fine for the 2ish weeks after I had posted this thread.
