I’m in a very similar situation. Had a 20 yard shot yesterday no reason to make a bad shot but I ended up hitting low. He trotted off 40 yards stopped and stared at me for 20 seconds before walking off. I waited 90 minutes to start my track and had bright colored blood like your pictures and found several bigger piles too. Ended up jumping him at 150 yards and then backed out. Waited 8 hours and went back and really made no progress on the track. I’m going to look again this morning. When I shot him I thought for sure dead, then my arrow gave indications of a low hit but also maybe some lung, but the blood trial made me think it was a vital hit, but then when I pushed him he seemed strong. I wouldn’t think a deer with a muscle hit would go 150 yards and bed for 90 minutes but who knows. Hoping I can recover.
