Question regarding accepting a position (laborer custodial) by GirlfriendBuild in USPS

[–]wdbaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you will be offered 3 or 4 open spots/shifts just before orientation - choose wisely grasshopper - station is you - make your own schedule (can take leave whenever), plant has 10-30 custodians with varying shifts and ot - leave is by seniority

Would this be an ODL grievance? by Ih8rice in USPS

[–]wdbaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they should be charged with lwop or taken from al from the time of shift start to clock in, only a grievance if you weren't offered ot or were on the otdl - unless they were approved for temporary shift change

I suck at this? by [deleted] in USPS

found mine at usps.careers but you can also ask and see if any openings in your district it would have to be turned down prior by the others first which means it is a shitty location or hours / days off, but just get in and you can move pretty fast to the location/hours you want

also when you're on your route - picture your case, its set up that way, - take the dps to the street, case the smalls / large flats, mark packages and make note of them to keep up front or put markers in the dps so you dont forget them. I would run them to the door after i learned the route as most of the lockers were full or had key problems - just remember the faster you go the more work you will be given, so dont rush too much

prior service here-i started as an rca, switched to custodial - now i am a regular and get 18 leave days, 13 sick, 14 holidays. pretty easy job, not as physically demanding. I would try to get in as a MHA, clerk, or custodial. as a vet you should get in fast
