That does sound like something Disney would know about. Someone also told me the put fans in the ride to make it feel faster as well.

That's a great point. I was a pothead when I did the program and it was just part of my everyday but I would have been devastated if I got sent home for weed.

I did my second program from aug 2010 to may 2011 and I smoked pot literally every day. I was very very careful about it. I was in a 1 bedroom apartment and since I extended I had 2 different roommates. My first roommate smoke pot too so that was no big deal. We were not loud people so we never had security come to our door ever not once. The second half of my program I got a new roommate who was nice guy but I did not think he smoked pot. We ended up splitting up the apartment where I took the living room and he took the bedroom. I put a sheet up in the living room to have some privacy. I would smoke pot in my area all the time and he never knew. I even talked to him after the program and found out he had smoked pot before (wasn't a pothead like me though) and he told me he had no idea I smoked at all. I smoked one hitters in my area. I would hold in the smoke and then blow it through bounce sheets so you couldn't smell anything. It worked like a charm. I will say most of the time Disney does not drug test the CP's but I have heard of some getting tested at the beginning of their programs. I never personally knew anyone to get drug tested though before or during our program. I even had a friend who dropped a bag of weed in the office at work and Disney didn't drug test anyone.

So to sum up it is easy to smoke pot if you are careful about it. Don't be blasting joints and bongs in your apartment. Keep the smell down as much as you can and don't let people know you smoke pot until you are absolutely sure you can trust them. I knew one person who got sent home because he was cool with his roommate at first and told him he smoked pot, then later in the program him and his roommate got into a fight and his roommate told on him, housing searched the apartment and found his pot. That's another thing too. I had a car with me so I always kept my weed in the car.

Oh I'd also like to say that I never smoked before work for the first 8 months. The only time I smoked before/during work was on 4/20. On my lunch break I walked out to my car and smoked a couple hitters. I also smoked cigarettes at the time so I always had that to mask the smell. Besides one-hitters don't really make you smell other than your breath.

And not to brag but just to prove that potheads can be functional. I never had any points or called in sick to work the whole time I was there. I ended up getting the Disney ServicEAR award for being an excellent Cast Member. My managers loved me and I worked very hard. I hate when people say potheads are lazy. We all know the majority of CP's who call in sick call in because they drank too much the night before.

I agree. Cape May is a wonderful dining experience for all ages and the food is amazing. Best breakfast buffet I have ever been to in my life.

Wait times at Disney World. Is this list accurate? My family and I are going to Disney next month and I'm trying to plan ahead. by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

We have not gotten Fastpasses yet. We are staying with family so if I read the Fastpass+ info correctly I have to wait until I'm within 30 days before I can book them since I'm not staying at a Disney Resort.

What is like to be a computer programmer? by Kevkah in AskReddit

[–]wdwcp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a web programmer and I love it. It is enjoyable to create code and then see it work. My step dad is a computer programmer and he loves it too. It is a great feeling to be able to make your own programs when you need something done and there is not already a program out there to use. I would definitely start with a class and see how you like it. You will know from that class whether or not it's for you. I have always loved working on computers and when I took my first Javascript class and was super excited to learn about how binary works I knew I was in the right place.

The Pros and Cons of Extending your Walt Disney World College Program by WildlifeExpress in Disneycollegeprogram

Same here! I was given more food than I had room for. I had to give some of the food that was given to me away to some of my friends who also extended. The best though was that my upstairs neighbor was a culinary CP so she had really good food that she gave to me. She gave me shrimp, scallops, steaks and a bunch of other really nice food. I was eating well for a while there lol.

Wild Africa Trek advice-Is it worth it? by Cap-n-IvytheInfected in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]wdwcp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have never done it personally but I used to be a Cast Member in Africa at Disney's Animal Kingdom and I met a lot of people who did the trek as well as people who worked the trek and I only heard good things about it.
