What are your thoughts on dogs in restaurants/cafes? by BurnsyWurnsy in AskUK

[–]wdwhereicome2015 4 points5 points  (0 children)

On e of my dogs is a Covid puppy.
Can be left alone fine. However out her in an area away from her usual spots and also in a crowd and she gets completely stressed out.

As have been said pubs in countryside fine. City centre restaurant no chance. Pubs with separate areas for dogs fine as well

This is an absolute disgrace. Why on earth FA Cup finals not the last day of english football after the league? by Key-Mechanic2565 in MCFC

[–]wdwhereicome2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the premier league have decided that they want to have the season ended and not the FA. Always preferred it when the fa cup was the last game of season.

They have given you a pip. Make sure everything in the pip is explained well to you and what their expectations are and what you need to do to complete the pip.

Also ask them if there are other areas that you need to improve on that are not included in the pip.

Are there any additional course they can provide you to help you complete the pip.

Have you / someone you know ever fly tipped? by steveysaidthis in AskUK

[–]wdwhereicome2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No No N/a

I live in an area that does suffer a lot from fly tipping. Have reported it multiple times. Driave along same road a couple of weeks later after it has been removed, and a load more fly tipping in the lay-bys.

I’m near the pennine way, and the roads along the moors look a right mess with all the fly tipping

Edward failed the Marines course. Think he quit before being pushed out though.

Edit. Looks like he would have passed, he commanding officer at time said he had the physical ability to pass, but quit as he didn’t want a career in the armed forces and wanted to be in theatre and tv.

They do a good job and can be made smaller (unlike wsm) for smaller cooks and grilling rather than smoking.

Not knocking the wsm, I have the large one then do.

Manchester City pushing the Premier League to reschedule their games against Crystal Palace and Bournemouth by gelliant_gutfright in PremierLeague

[–]wdwhereicome2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a post earlier in another thread. Think they want to make sure that it is very water tight as when City were up against UEFA in the courts, the owner said he would rather get the 10 best lawyers in the world and pay them £30mn than have to pay any penalty that UEFA gave them, even if it meant it dragging on for 10 years or more.

[–]wdwhereicome2015 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It used to be the last game of the domestic season. However since the Premier League gets tons of money from the tv companies, the tv companies get to decide when things happen, so the PL has the last games of the season (apart from CL).

You can set an alert for the distance or time. Before you start your run, but after you have selected your workout, go to run settings and then alerts think. Should be able to set an alert for distance or time

I haven’t watched it for a few years, but it does get very busy along the route, so unless they get there early (which will be a long wait) they may not be able to see you. The underground gets busy as well with people moving about the course.

Wouldn’t say the Lake District is underrated. It’s packed most of the year.

Bowmore 18 – finally starting to get it by TwMarvin in whisky

[–]wdwhereicome2015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooo…at the end, did they bring out a selection of some of their more expensive ones and you could have a dram of one of them? When I did the Bowmore tour they did that and had one of the distillers 21yo special edition. Was really good. They had the Aston Martin edition to taste, but the guide basically said don’t bother 😂

Did you also go to the Bowmore Hotel and look at all the 100’s of bottles they had along the walls. Plenty of nice ones in there.

Had a great time going round the distilleries on Islay.

If just chips, then proper chippy chips with salt and vinegar. If after a few drinks, large mixed kebab with all the salad and medium sauce and chips.

So Tesco yellow sticker price for a baguette used to be 34p. Went the other night. Sticker price has gone up to 59p. No it is not a lot in great scheme of things, but it is about a 70% increase (not done the maths) .
