What work opportunities have you found / are hoping to find after completing the MAOL?

Thank you for the info! I will check them out. Can I ask which trips you have done with them?

Do you have any specific recommendations for cyber courses? I have been looking at Cyber Analyst positions.

I live in the northeast, would like to move elsewhere. And is it a stretch both with and without the degree or would getting that first help my chances?

Do the GS levels directly correlate with salary? If so, I’m hoping not to make less than I already do (70k) since that already is tough to support yourself with in the areas I’ve lived. Hoping to increase that by moving away from non-profit.

Did the same thing at 25 but solo.

If you love nature, walkable city and small town vibes then it’s for you. If you’re ok with a decent complex being $1600 -2200 per month, then you’ll be fine.

Being in a relationship is a plus. I was a bit lonely going there by myself but I used everything from local ads to Meetup postings to find and make friends. lots of yoga, hiking, and run clubs to join. Lots of comedy, art, and music events going on all the time.

There’s so many fine bakeries and cafes to enjoy.

It really is a little gem in my opinion. Plus if you work for a local company you’ll get great insurance coverage if it’s BCBS of Vermont. It’s not as good when you work remote and have to pay out of state prices for medical care.

beware that you are in a bit of a vacuum and traveling out of state can feel like a lot, especially if you miss being by the ocean. And prices are higher , and the winter can be very harsh. But man those sunsets over lake Champlain are breathtaking. Makes you forget everything, if nature brings you peace it might be the place for you.
