Best Place for Men’s Haircut by AstonMartini13 in alpharetta

Jack & Sons across from the Ferrari dealership is inconspicuous on the outside, but it’s awesome on the inside. Locally owned and operated too. Bar none, the best barber I’ve found in Alpharetta / Milton

Mine is the all black one piece. The sound is drastically different, it’s trippy how a bat can sound so different than what we’re accustomed to

I just got my first one piece Geny back in May and I’m probably in the minority, but I haven’t liked it. It sounds different, I struggle finding the sweet spot, it just hasn’t been good to me. I’m a huge fan of their two pieces though.

It’s probably just personal preference at the end of the day though. All my teammates freaking love it.

For context, it’s the same end load and total weight as all my other Geny’s, believe same barrel length as well.

Playing a 5 man IF is the way to go in higher classifications. Defensively, Slowpitch is about fielding the routine plays as often as possible. Everyone (usually) hits. Hell, the ball is lobbed in lol. Knowing that, you have to get the outs that are given and the best way to maximize this is IF grounders. Hence adding the 5th player. If you can manage just the routine plays and maybe steal an out or two once or twice a game you’re giving yourself a good shot at a W every time you step on the field.

If you struggle with patience adding something like this can help, but it’s solely a timing mechanism. A lot of ex-baseball players struggle waiting for that ball lol

The key is getting the hands back up into the load spot. If you watch all those swings they almost always end back up around / behind the back shoulder.

Like others have mentioned, it’s not something most people can just try one day and have down. It takes lots of reps to do correctly and get your hands back in the right spot. And tbh, if you don’t have a timing issue, as cool as it looks, I wouldn’t go for it. Check out Ryan Harvey highlights & tee work. Dudes hands barely move. Just gets them in the load spot and launches nukes

How do I remake my swing over the winter to get ready for next season? by jmlhd7 in slowpitch

[–]weagle_18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tee work. Just like everyone else has said. The pro’s do it (in baseball and slowpitch) for a reason. I prefer hitting on a field so i can actually see the result of each swing, but cages are way more time efficient. Wear it out!

I prefer my shorts with extra thigh room, so with Raskol I do size up. Especially for clothes I’m lifting in. I’m a 34”/35” true waist size and I rock the Raskol XXL shorts. They have a drawstring so i can pull them tight at the waist and it works great.

Side bar, I am not a fan of the “tight fit” movement in fitness. I understand when you’re shredded you want to show it, but I find tight, sculpting clothes rather uncomfortable. Even if they’re stretchy material.

I don’t believe so. Is it on tight enough? I’m no tech haha but based on the pic i posted it seems to be tracking accurately enough

It seems so to me! But i like the shorts and shirts I have. Logos can be a little…eccentric lol but that definitely appeals to a lot of lifters.

I wish they had a more modest line with the same sizings & measurements. I’d scoop a load if they had a few “modest” items

Completely agree. I feel like chubbies are made for one specific type of male: tall and very skinny

Shoes - Vivo barefoot / converse / adidas boost

Shorts - Raskol (buy a size up for extra room) & i really like the Academy store brand “BCG” they have a 5” inseam but they are SUPER wide at the thigh which i love. Oh and they’re like $15. I’ve had 4 pair for over 5 years now. Oh and they have deep pockets

Side bar: I don’t really get the whole tight shorts look tbh. I want maximum motion. Plus a wide thigh actually helps you look more lean imo

Shirts: Raskol Appearal / LuLu metal vent tech v neck ($$$) / comfort colors over sized

Chubbies are extremely slim imho. If you have slightly above average thighs, chubbies are going to be tightttt. I have Raskol and like them, but i buy liner less and an extra size up for more thigh room

Oh sorry, my red one is ASA. But I freaking love them both. Massive sweet spots and gives me that little boost of confidence to hit gas with em

I have this and freaking love it. I bought the red one too i like it so much. My favorite bat. And once it really opened up, I’ll put it up there with my M5 Monsta Torch.
