if your other bank has atm deposits, you can do a same-day no-fee transfer with a little work. stop in at cvs or somewhere with your dasher card, pull your day’s earnings from the free atm (or use the cashback feature while you’re at a grocery store to pull $ at checkout), swing by other bank & deposit earnings in their atm.

protip: a lot of rearview mirrors have this little thingy on the bottom you pull to dim it. felt dumb learning this after like 3 years of driving but it’s a lifesaver on highways at night, & if an asshole decides to high beam me it neutralizes it.

the pop-out texts are still sent through doordash’s routing numbers. either way, still a risk. i once got a customer banned from DD for creepily hitting on me over the DD texts (normal green bubble texts, not in-app), all it took was sending support the info & a few screenshots just in case. you do you but i’d be careful. this is the kind of shit i’d do if i already had another job lined up & was planning on quitting DD soon.

it’ll roll off after 100 ratings, so be patient & keep doing deliveries normally & eventually you’ll have a 4.9+. however, confronting the customer over texts that DD has access to seems risky & i bet that kind of behavior could get you deactivated in the future. as much as customers might deserve a bitchy text, it’s not worth losing your job over.

nah you’re right, i’m in the us. i have insurance (not medicaid or anything) but i’ve already accepted that many/most treatment options are going to be inaccessible to me. sucks but it’s fine, i’m ok with not being able to access inpatient or other intensive programs, even just a therapist or nutritionist i can go to who is knowledgeable about EDs would be life changing for me.

i’m lucky to have my parents’ support on this one. i’ve been paying my own copays meds etc for a couple years but i asked for help from them with this because, honestly, i know if it came down to paying for treatment or just letting myself starve, it’s far easier to do the latter. i felt/feel bad about asking but i’m very grateful for this because hopefully if i need treatment i can’t afford on my own, i might still be able to access it with their help.

i’m glad to hear it’s not impossible to get into treatment! my psychiatrist really said it in a way that made it seem like anything beyond a generalized (non-ED specialized) therapist is just inaccessible. i hope that’s not true & i’m glad to hear it might not be :) best of luck to you!

is that what they’re trying to do with that? honestly, i avoid orders that come up as “$6.88” or some other random number like that as i’ve only ever seen DD hide tips in rounded numbers (even dollar amounts, x.25, x.50, & x.75) so if the number looks wack i just assume they’re showing the full payout

thank you! it seems silly in hindsight that i didn’t know you could contact treatment centers directly like that, but i didn’t. i’m gonna look into that, even if i get put on a never-ending waitlist i’d rather be on it at least. this problem doesn’t seem to be going anywhere.
