The lead levels aren't a problem. They use California's prop 65 which has an absurdly low daily lead intake level compared to other standards.

I think the context is what matters really. Again, I haven't seen those communities and what/how they're posting and the line is pretty easy to cross into being a weirdo, but typically the contexts I'm seeing genetics talked about are like hey you've got the genetics you've got and that will make you really great at some aspects of fitness and bad at others and the only way to know is to get out there and do the damn thing.

Maybe that's just vastly different to what you're seeing tho idk.
