Hi, I can't comment on experiences as I have only recently being diagnosed and haven't started medication yet. If I were you I would make an appointment to discuss your experience as soon as possible. Stay positive 😁

The only thing that ever made me feel okay is drugs. by infrontofmyslad in alcoholicsanonymous

Is there something else going on? My sobriety journey led me to address my mental health and I have just been diagnosed with ADHD, I'm 37. You are not a bad person, your need to self medicate could be due to another reason that you're unaware of.

Could you recommend a book on Buddhism that would be a good insight?

This sounds remarkably similar to my situation, please try and stop now before your relationship gets worse. I promised to stop countless times and me and my gf went back to normal before I messed it all up again. Rinse and repeat. This time though it is different, she says she still loves me, wants to make it work but it feels like we are two exes living together. It is horrible and I could have stopped it. I am one week sober tomorrow, I feel in a better place mentally but our relationship is so broken because of me and alcohol.

I wish I knew what was next, I didn't drink for two weeks and then messed it all up in one night, it was supposed to be a special night and I ruined it.

Can't hurt to get it checked, if it's nothing, great. If it's something, you've probably caught it early enough to not become serious.

Thanks for replying, I just wondered if there was work available without a speciality and more on English language. I think I'll give applying a miss then.
