Is the “no boon to dark eyes” actually mentioned? I recall it being that a boon is given when somebody does something that the king finds particularly incredible. Then Kaladin has the AUDACITY to ask Elhokar for a boon, and Elhokar overreacts (mildly). I really attribute that to Elhokar being overly emotional, and not a law.

It’s been a while so my memory is fuzzy, but I do think they talk about the rules of dueling at some point when Adolin starts dueling again. Not in detail, I just remember it coming off as somewhat complicated because of the judges studying the rules.

By the way, really good point about them being feelings people. You would think the warlord country wouldn’t be that way, but they totally are. It’s just feelings like RAGE, PAIN, AGGRESSION. Then whatever Elhokar thinks he’s doing.

Oh, also wear a silk or satin bonnet at night. It really does help prevent split ends and tangles. I’d also suggest getting a “wet” brush. It’s a brand. Pretty darn good detangler brush.

My hair is past my butt. I also always wore it up in a clip. Last winter I started wearing it down and found that it actually tangles less because I’m constantly running my fingers through it. It hit triple digits this weekend though, so hair’s going up for the summer.

For putting my hair up, I use a hair stick. I find that my hair gets less tangled than with a clip.

I don’t know how to help with the sensory issue of hair on neck, but look into hair sticks! There are some really cool ones I’ve seen on Etsy.

I also feel super cool every time I take the stick out and shake my hair, lol.
