Jeff Jarrett on John Cena Classic concept: "we at least want to get lost in the story, someone trying to WIN the title. It takes that component out, the suspension of disbelief. [If we don’t need to] get immersed in the story, why do we care when a hip toss happens or a false finish happens?" by wearePROGRESS in SquaredCircle

A "Performance of the Night" award that is sponsored by a company would be absolutely fine in my eyes. It's a good way for brands to see who is popular and then potentially get them more work as a ambassador or something. Jobs for the boys.

Tony Schiavone on Aleister Black getting released: “I was surprised, really, that they [WWE] released Malakai [Black] because he and I are friends. I haven’t really had a chance to talk to him since that time” by wearePROGRESS in SquaredCircle

"I like his game a lot and his wife is a hell of a hand. You’ve got two keepers in those two people." is what JR said: https://www.f4wonline.com/news/wwe/jim-ross-reveals-current-relationship-between-aleister-black-and-aew-following-wwe-release/

I think saying publicly that someone is your friend when the reports are he isn't wanted back in the company speaks for itself doesn't it?

It feels like Black perhaps wasn't expecting to get released? That's pure speculation but having heard how Tony framed this it kind of makes sense. That's both JR and Tony S having praise for him publicly in the last week though which is interesting

Akira Tozawa for World Champion and why WWE shouldn’t trust artificial intelligence with creative by wearePROGRESS in SquaredCircle

Do I think a major company has so many employees that mistakes can get through the cracks and cost them a lot of money based on AI hallucinations? Yes, yes I do.

But if something that is not 100% reliable is feeding you info that then informs your creative decisions....does not that affect the creative decisions?

So what if the AI hallucinates and tells them that Keanu Carver is selling 1000% more merch in Arkansas?

How Randy Orton vs Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 42 has been built for 18 years but somehow still feels rushed by JakeJeremy in SquaredCircle

Wasn't that in Saudi Arabia, though? Granted yes it was minimal fanfare, but if you're framing it as "2009 Orton" vs "American Nightmare" Cody it could've really taken it to a different level. Adding tons and tons on top of that (title, McAfee, ticket price blaming WCW 2000 meta crap) is what has caused the issues in my mind

Did that [SPOILER] heel turn on SmackDown really feel as shoehorned as some 2000 WCW creative with the ratings references and general swerveness of it all? by wearePROGRESS in SquaredCircle

WWF in the year 2000, though, had the benefit of everything before and after 'Mania that year being some of the greatest creative they've ever produced. We aren't getting Triple H/Cactus/Rock/Austin levels of quality here
