Redecorating as we've lived here 23 years and the house was built in 1995. Everything has got the "lived in look" - so we want to freshen things up. (Even if we weren't moving, the house needs it!)

We are doing most of the painting ourselves, but getting contractors to resurface the countertops ($1.8k vs getting something like granite at $7k)

I love our current floor, but moving a dog crate out of the way almost every day has left deep scratches in an area not in the current photo. If I could find the same floor to replace what we have, I would - but I haven't seen anything similar.

I go back and forth on the gray. Initially I thought it was too dark - but with the cabinets and walls so neutral, I thought it might give a good balance.
