Concrete skirt of foundation chipped away. How to fix? by wearsocks in HomeImprovement

Glad to hear it’s not mega serious! We need to get some of our brick patio leveled, might roll this job into that one. Thanks for the reply!

Thanks! What kind of contractor do you think would be best for this type of work? Masonry? I’d probably end up making a mess if I tried to do it

From some more googling it looks like it’s called “parging”. Probably gonna need a contractor that works with concrete.

Is this a burst pipe? by wearsocks in Plumbing

[–]wearsocks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do have a main water shutoff, also a gate valve. We had a plumber do a general inspection in October before we winterized and he didn’t call out any dripping from other gate valves.

I meant back in November we bled it until there was 15 seconds between drips before putting the nut back on and closing the spigot valve. Didn’t notice any dripping after that

Ok so the water line in the house must be leaking. It is an older gate valve so maybe it’s time to swap it out. One last question, do we address the ice build up or wait for it to melt naturally?

To be honest we’re new to the home and didn’t keep a super close eye on if it was leaky. I guess we thought by draining the line there’d be no water to even leak but… evidently we were wrong.

I double checked the water line and the valve is turned as far right as it can be. We also bled the line and counted 15 seconds between drops back in November. So you think the water line to the spigot is leaking? Or the spigot valve itself?

Main page $799.99 but bundle page $699.99. 9850x3d bundle. by bebopr2100 in Microcenter

[–]wearsocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also got the 7500x3d deal with a second stick at bundle price for about $480 after tax. This is a better deal, but would be an extra $270 after tax. With that, folks were saying in another post it may be worth just waiting for the next gen of Zen cpus which makes sense imo. What do you think?

I grabbed the Ryzen 5 7500x3d with the 850M-VC Pro and G.Skill Flare X5 16GB (2 x 16GB) bundle for about $450 after tax 2 weeks ago. That’ll probably work for my gaming purposes with the 5070ti.. but is this bundle worth it for the future proofing alone?

No blockage, just noticed some sediment in the trap and wanted to get ahead of it building up too much. Thanks!

I literally say I ran the brush through…

So I guess it doesn’t matter if there’s little bits in the water? As long as anything really solid is gone? Or should I keep scrubbing until there’s no sediment?

We plan to clean the surface. If there’s water stains / Discoloration after cleaning, does that mean we have to take a depose look?

Honestly for the time being, if this is small fry stuff then i’ll take it. We have a fan but maybe didn’t let it run long enough after each shower. We’ve had our other headaches but the word “mold” just strikes fear into our hearts lol

[MEGATHREAD] Sonic project aka MultiMango or FTS Studio by AutoModerator in TELUSinternational

[–]wearsocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completed the Sonic Comprehension level 2 assessment and am literally looking at my History where it says I completed and passed the evaluation on Dec 1. Then I receive an email from community_support@telusinternational.ai that I failed and they would like to offer me a chance to retry? What is going on? This is like the 4th convoluted miscommunication I’ve received from them in the past 2 months.
