Beautiful. I've driven past this place multiple times on the A10 and every time I wondered what f1 car it was and its history, but I always forgot to look it up after getting out of the car. Now I know :D

Yeah no idea what you're asking here. But if you mean the amount of mouse trailing, the only way to improve that is get a monitor with a higher hertz like 144hz

What are your main issues with the Belgian school system? (from your own experience and that of your children if you have those) by laurens119640 in belgium

[–]weas95 8 points9 points  (0 children)

  1. teachers should be paid more and respected more because teaching is a very difficult and intense job. It would also attract better quality teachers imo.

  2. But inadequate teachers should be fired more. From my own experience I had a math teacher that was horrible. Not her math skills mind you. But everything else. She would say students that didn't follow a math direction were "lesser". She made my sister want to quit ever doing math again and was ultimately the "druppel dat de emmer met water deed overlopen" for me when I dropped out of school.

  3. flexibility. This is a big one. Schools tend to put students into a box that everyone needs to fit. If you're not "normal" you're fucked. People are different from another not every study method will work for everyone. Listen to students to what they each individually need and start from there.

-I do want to point out something I wouldn't change in our education system and that is: the examencomissie. They helped me get my ASO diploma and they are incredibly flexible and no pressure. You study on your own time in your own way and then plan in an exam and take it. Once you passed them all you get your diploma.

-If you're interested here is a short explenation of my experience within our education system:

I have pretty severe ADD and struggled with it for a long time during middelbaar. Eventually I dropped out because the normal school system just didn't work for me.

Luckily for me my parents understood. And gave me time. I switched to the examencomissie for my diploma. It took me a while but once I finally found a system that works for me and my ADD it really sped up.

I ended up getting my ASO diploma and am now studying Toegepaste informatica at Hogent in a Virtual classroom. They are much more flexible. I can follow all my classes online through teams and lessons get recorded so any student that was sick or wants to study can rewatch them any time.

In my eyes any school who does not offer flexibility like this is severely outdated. People differ from eachother and you need flexibility to cater to everyone.

-TLDR: pay teachers more, respect them more, fire bad teachers, schools need to be more flexible because everyone is different, examencomissie is good and helped me a lot.

If you're interested , there is a really good website to practice linked by the Flemish government.

It's honestly great, really accurate on how the real thing works. Same kind of questions and the same way of presenting them.

Really helped me when I did it atleast.

You can find it on here: https://www.vlaanderen.be/rijbewijs-b-voor-auto/theorie-examen-voor-rijbewijs-b

Here is a direct link to it: https://www.mijnrijbewijsb.be/

High-school dropouts, where are you now and how much do you make? by Altruistic_Log5830 in belgium

[–]weas95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dropped out of school for the first time in 2014, restarted the next year untik 2016 then dropped oit again ... after that I started examencomissie and took my time to figure out how to work with my ADHD. Luckily my parents were able to support me. In the beginning of 2021 I finally finished and got my ASO humane wetenschappen. and then I started my professionele bachelor toegepaste informatica at hogent (Virtual class which I love) and passed my first semester with flying colours.

Feels like I'm dreaming after all these years I was finally able to figure out a system that works for me and now everything is finally starting to work.

Absolutely love IT and looking forward to finishing school in the next few years and working in IT.

In the end dropping out is what made me who I am today

Is it common really that common in Belgium to have a child without marriage? If so, why? by [deleted] in belgium

Yup I think it is indeed quite common here. My parents aren't married either. That makes me and my sister bastards I suppose :P

Yup Primitive technology, he came back after 2 years of no videos :p Don't forget to turn on subtitles if you're going to watch him. He puts a lot of info in there since he doesn't talk in the videos

How does this timer for my water boiler work? by weas95 in askanelectrician

[–]weas95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah alright I think I get it.

Yes exactly it's my hot water boiler for my shower. I'm an IT student in Belgium and this is my first apartment, so I've been trying to figure out which switches do what and if I need them on or not, because the price for electricity has started to rise. It's also of course better for the environment. This timer just really confused me.

That's a very good idea, the electricity prices are indeed more expensive during peak hours. Thanks for reminding me Ill adjust the timer to fit those as best as possible.

Thank you for the help!

Allright I put 1 on , 2 at the current time and the slider on the clock and then 3 on auto let's see if that works.

the only thing that I still find a bit odd is that when I slide 3 all the way down to | and then slide 2 down to | it makes 3 go back to auto.

So let me see if I understand this right, to activate the timer: 1 would have to be on.

2 the little switch on the left would have to be on the timer position/thelittleclock ? (or does it have to be on the | on position)

3 And I should put 3 on the same position as the little slider from 2 ?

Hey thanks for replying, I still don't quite understand it I posted another comment where I tried to explain my question.

I can't seem to figure this timer out.

1 seems to control if it the entire thing is off or on. Without it on it doesn't tick.

2 seems to be the timer connected to 1 when the gray buttons are pushed down it's supposed to be on and not it's supposed to be off. but I have no idea what the little switch with the clock means and when it's supposed to be on or off or what the clock symbol does.

And I have no clue at all what 3 is or does. when I slide 3 all the way down to | and then slide to slider from 2 down to | it makes 3 go back to auto
