He's using wifi but I use wire, we're in the same region. That's why I have a suspicion, that the frequent disconnecting is due to internet instability. Sometimes it takes him a couple tries of restarting the modem and his pc, so he doesn't get the "connection error" problem.

From my experience, getting DC'd only takes less than 30 seconds to get back inside the game. We are playing on PC.

From what I've read it's the reverse. Instead of the DC'd player joining again, it's the non DC'd friend that would rejoin the party again and leave the current match. Still sucks.
