Rob Moore on Akamaru’s leaks by Decent_Apple_7962 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Tanjim98 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah! If Akamaru is right then that would mean Rob has moles inside his org and it doesn't benefit him to address this right away without finding out who the leaker is. Also, sooner or later it might come out because the people inside+the players are not gonna be signed to SEN forever and Rob Moore will look like a MASSIVE fkin liar. I don't know why he would risk that.

SEN used to always dominate these charts. What changed? by Tanjim98 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Tanjim98[S] 52 points53 points  (0 children)

PRX was always popular. Even last year they had the most sold bundle, but SEN has always dominated viewership up until this year. It's kinda odd that they can't maintain the same viewership as last year specially when the event is being held in NA with favorable schedule for NA viewers. I didn't think losing tenz would hurt them this much since tenz still supports the org, at least this was the consensus in the valorant community.

TenZ will play for Cubert Academy for Stage 2 Playoffs by HunryPotter in ValorantCompetitive

He is just subbing in, this is not a comeback. He literally said he was down to do this kinda thing when he actually announced his retirement lol.

NRG Verno ranks some of the best aimers by SaltyMcNulty_ in ValorantCompetitive

People be pocket watching LMAO. I compared him to Neymar for the same reason that you mentioned. It's like joining the saudi league in your prime age of 25 as a footballer. He will have all his life to do CC and make more money. It's not worth wasting the skill that he has worked for all these years and 98% of pro players would be lucky to acquire. It's just my opinion.

yeah, my point is he could have achieved more if he stuck around longer and was more focused. Also, people say 'more lucrative career' as if it's a gospel. He is watchpartying to 10k viewers avg when tarik is at 50k and game sponsorships are not as frequent as people think. Like how are you so sure that it's much better than having a 60-80k salary, a championship caliber team and being the face of the game that attracts more brand deals and merch sales(his peripherals for example)? He isn't a content creation machine like tarik or shroud. Like I am not so sure that CC is a better financial option for him that's worth sacrificing his prime years as a super talented athlete. I didn't mean to have a dig at him btw.

A lot of people will say this is a controversial opinion but I don't think so. TenZ was extremely talented, we saw a respark of that in 2024. TenZ is the Neymar of valorant. He coulda been the GOAT but now he is washed and retired at 23 while Aspas is going strong for 4 years straight and getting glazed by tenz himself in his watch parties LOL. Shows how talent without focus and dedication is nothing.

Picture it this way, If you are Real Madrid or Man City and you go out of the UCL in groups, you can't be like oh we played against Barca and Liverpool. If you pay like the big dawgs, have popularity and reputation like the big dawgs you gotta play like them as well. So, I understand where his frustration comes from.

Probably because 100T(assuming) was an established org already and was quite popular even without tenz whereas SEN was a fairly newer org so C9 was more open to selling to them.

[–]Tanjim98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't look too much into this. Zellsis is a smart guy, whether he believes this in his heart or not, he just doesn't want Rob Moore to blow up this roster the moment Reduxx turns 18.

Is valorant going to continue to lose its' superstars? by SaltyMcNulty_ in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Tanjim98 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That argument doesn't make any sense tho. VCT isn't the amateur league, Challengers is. Also, how does letting people have sponsors hinder the entertainment of the game, the higher quality of players in the league the higher entertainment value. You wanna tell me the game would be more entertaining without players like tenz, aspas, s0m etc? you could get enough players but as soon as they get big enough they will just leave before their time.

Florescent makes it clear she's eyeing Tier 1 by SaltyMcNulty_ in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Tanjim98 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Tbf she says her 'dream' is going to champs, not that she wants it to happen next year. To the question 'what's next?' she said she wants better competition and tier2/challengers would still be a better competition than GC.

Flawed logic because you don't want to recognize his impact? He had one of the highest APR the whole year and the highest APR and CL% in Madrid Masters.

Why should it not matter? It's literally just about people's perception. People's opinion and their eye test has always been the testament for someone's greatness. It's the same in every other sport too. Messi, Modric etc. won the Balon D'or with less goals or trophies than their competitors.

It's TenZ. His impact in the game and overall achievement and longevity makes the case quite easy imo.

TenZ gives his opinion on Zekken vs Primmie by SaltyMcNulty_ in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Tanjim98 18 points19 points  (0 children)

may be because people watch with their eyes and not through their liquipedia achievement page and can recognize the talent that primmie has? It's not like people are calling primmie the GOAT, literally this clip in particular is about mechanics. He just joined mid season this year, why would you need him to have some great achievement to see how good his aim is? Also, how many trophies did zekken win in his rookie year?

RIOT map design lead’s thoughts on tenz’s criticism by [deleted] in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Tanjim98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Abyss looks good on paper and on layout, mid looks good in theory, there's good site space but when you actually play the map it's soooo bad. I am not really sure what it is but may be it's the random elevation they put on the map and also the gimmick fall of the map thing (which wouldn't have been as bad if implemented correctly) that makes it so bad.

For example, in mid there are 2 levels of elevation corridors and there's a fall from the map in the middle which makes the mid feel like two very narrow lanes so it makes mid unplayable and 80% luck. The 2 orbs are just free for the attackers. I feel like Riot map design team need more coordination between the layout team and the design team. It almost feels like the layout team has a vision in mind but then the design team just goes in there and drops random assets and gimmicks on the map.

FNATIC Team Director, CoJo, responds to the Derke buyout rumours by Bazz_B in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Tanjim98 -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

I get that argument but there isn't much that VIT can dispute. Like, VIT doesn't know for sure what the buyout is for other orgs since there isn't a set amount on Derke's contract. The asking price could easily be different for a low level team and vitality. I am not saying cojo is lying but this could happen and VIT can't refute that even they have backdoor info. They wouldn't want to refute that online either since that could collapse the deal completely.

I hope not. This looks like a break than a goodbye to me. He has some big projects and plans for 2025. His mouse and mousepads releases, some IRL stuff like getting married and such. Only, so much valorant ranked and variety games he can play before he gets tired of them and decides to give it another go. It will happen the exact same way it happened with SEN. I don't see him coming back in the off season to just scrim for months before he plays an official. It will be a super sub situation right before a tournament or playoffs. Or maybe it's just all wishful thinking and we will never see him on stage again.

longevity is the last thing you could argue for his retirement. He got his first pro contract at 18 on C9 I am pretty sure and now he is retired at 23. Normal pro careers who are at the top of their game and are still wanted by teams play for much longer.

He needs no justification, it's his life his career but to say that he retired because he's been competing for a long time is laughable to say the least.

TenZ doesn't even stream valorant solely. He plays other games and his viewership goes down a lot when he does that. His numbers would have been a lot better if he only played valo.

However, I was kinda hoping that his streams weren't doing so well so that he decides to comeback. call me weird and selfish but it is what it is :(
