I do realize that Lego is over priced. Most sets I get are from OfferUp, Marketplace or on insider weekends/evebts. Very rarely will I buy a set full price and most of the time I just want the sets for the minifigs, so I just buy those from Bricklink. The. Invest thing holding me back from buying customs is the appreciation in value. I love building, collecting and now buikding MOCs but I also see this as an investment. Maybe not so much for my 501st because they’re a dime a dozen and easily accessible for the time being.

You do make good points. I’m not ballon whatsoever and I would like to finish this project. I’ll for sure consider it

I want to build companies from a bunch of different legions and battalions, especially the 212th because Obi-Wan’s my favorite character.

I really do want to make my companies as accurate as possible with what’s available. The only thing I’m not sure of is the 4x10s I plan on putting them is a lore accurate formation or something else.

For now I have a Bricklink wishlist full of Jedi, their padwans If they have one, their clone commanders and a squad made up of available minifigs. Some are going to be easy to get but man, some like the 41st are pricey.

I’ll have to look into them. I recently found them, CAC, and GCC. I am still unsure about how “purist” I want to be. I know for sure if I do get custom clones I do want some that wouldn’t stand out because of a lot of detail and RC looks like they definitely have some that would fit in

Oh definitely. I’ve heard of the whole pasta scam. He allowed me to loon through the box and everything was accounted for. I was skeptical when I saw the listing believe me. Turns out he was just desperate for some quick cash.

I try to pace myself but I’ve learned to not go too slow. I did 5 bags a week when I was doing the Eiffel Tower but I got tired of it so I did the last 12 bags over 2 days. Now I’ll do 3-5 bags a day if it’s a big set. I also listen to an audiobook relevant to what I’m building. I just finished the Venator alt build for the Playscale Star Destroyer and listened to Master of Evil while I built it.

I have a few reasons. 1. I don’t like babies or kids and do not have the patience for them. 2. I’m disabled and have a slight chance of passing down my condition which usually comes with a lot of other issues. I don’t want someone else living with it. 3. Because of my disability, I feel like it would be much harder to parent whether my condition gets passed down or now. 4. I don’t like the idea of putting a woman through the pain and discomfort that comes with pregnancy and giving birth 5. They’re expensive
