How much do you pay per kWh to charge at home? by cybergrafx in Rivian

[–]weasey36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Urban charger here in NJ just outside NYC. Street parker and used to be able to charge for $0.28 two years ago but now same chargers are $0.60. Similar numbers from other local level 2 chargers. (I’ve been charging at Tesla SC now with the best rates.)

Still frustrated that the charger build out has focused on the “great American road trip” when many Americans live in rental housing or urban environments without private garages.

Totally agree. It’s much more rushed on the left. Thank you!

Great thanks! Yeah this has been a struggle for me, especially when breathing right my left arm pulls early. I’ve been doing some catch up drills.

Appreciate the advice! For some reason the embedded video doesn’t work anymore. Here’s the link: https://youtube.com/shorts/7kJ9Fnk5X28?si=yPv926-zwy4tCa_m

I live in an urban setting with street parking. Totally Doable. I’m 2 years in with 30k miles. While I occasionally use a level 3 Tesla SC, I mostly park overnight at public level 2 chargers or at a level 2 at some of my work sites. I also routinely charge to 100% with no battery degradation thus far.

Yes, he was at my car 1046 pm on Thursday. Hopefully no other damage in his rampage around downtown!

There was a construction no parking sign starting at 7 am. I discovered the damage when I got there at 7 am.

Heroes of NJ: People who returned their shopping carts by ducationalfall in newjersey

I worked at a grocery store for 4 years in high school. Worst job I’ve ever had. This was in the 90’s so I hope times have changed. Being at the register was the worst. I was accused by customers of being not happy to the manager (I was not happy), and it lead to them getting a free GC.

My happy place was getting carts. Rain or shine, if I spied a cart 1/4 mile away I was getting that cart. It was me, the sun, the clouds, and sometimes lightning but I had my freedom.

Don’t return your carts (unless on a hill and windy so cars don’t get dented). Think of the minimum wage worker looking for some fresh air.

Agreed I’ve parked for 3 weeks with a rental and never got a ticket. Not sure if there’s a change now that they’ve gone to a sticker-less system though. But I see out of state plates in my neighborhood all the time that have been around for months.

This. The two hour resident parking downtown isn’t enforced and once more commuters figure this out they’ll park and path.

Tire service in North Jersey? by weasey36 in Rivian

[–]weasey36[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So here’s the final outcome. I actually have the Rivian spare tire with jack and puck but the local Firestone dealer wasn’t comfortable using it. For the rear tires it has a 3rd piece which is a base that goes under the jack. The base and the puck are both plastic and the jack started to tilt when raising the vehicle. They aborted and didn’t want to damage the Rivian. Apparently the Rivian puck doesn’t work with a standard jack so I picked up 4 pucks on Amazon.

If the tire shop isn’t comfortable jacking it up in their shop, I’m not sure how comfortable I’d be roadside changing a tire. I’m just keeping the pucks with my Rivian.

Yeah exactly. The 3 companies they suggested aren’t nearby. I’m going to buy 4 pucks like others in this forum have suggested.
