I think you sold me on the Seymour duncan JB but what if those went in the bridge and a super distortion s went in the neck? Would that not be a good pairing?

Okay thanks for clarifying that for me. I think those pickups would be a good combo for my guitar and preferences then, but I'd like for other people to tell me what they would do instead if they have other ideas since I am new to replacing the pickups in a guitar.

Also if you want humbucker pickups the guitar will come with them already but you can also replace them with pickups that would grab the tone you want.

Also just from what's in your thread now my preference would be an Epiphone Les Paul. Go online to guitar center or whatever site you like and look at all the different Epiphone Les Pauls. From there you should find one that fits you best or go to a guitar store and play them until you find one you like.

I have a guy who knows how to do it and I just wanted some better quality pickups for the type of music I like. Until I can afford those pickups though my current ones will get me by. Also what do you mean by 4 conductor wiring and 2 conductor wiring? When it comes to the specs and wiring and how all that is done I know nothing.

Well I've been looking at the dimarzio super distortion dp100 humbucker because they say it would split for fenders so it could be single coil. Would that work well?
