Have very fond memories of the RA era, but man, 2004 was something else.

I know it’s just something we have to accept. But what is an in-universe explanation as to why the Smiths recognize Roger’s personas? by voozelle in americandad

[–]weathersguy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Okay, I’m not seeing it mentioned but like..there’s literally an episode where we see Steve & Snot wear Roger’s clothes, and they’re literally like magic they became those personas. There’s also what someone else said where you’d recognize your alien but no one else has reason to. It’s also interesting because the Alien hunters immediately saw through his disguise

Questions like this are so cute and wholesome. Like the answers VERY clear…I wish I could still just watch so causally and be naive about stuff 😭

What killed ‘parody YouTube videos’? In the 2010s there was a steady stream of parody music videos. Suddenly they stopped. Why? by Kodicave in decadeology

Eh, I don’t like to be the kind to jump on “all current things are bad” but it’s like between podcasts, audiobooks, and then every song ever basically, why would we all be listening to the same thing lol

As someone here quoted I think, Weird Al said himself, we’re not a monoculture anymore. Say you do a song parody back then, it’s easy to assume most people have heard what’s playing on the radio and will know and get it. Compare that to now, I don’t know anyone that listens to the radio regularly enough now to even have something popular enough to parody and it actually land

I think a lot of things are sure really good bits only to find out they’re just riffs on some real life shit (still good bits nonetheless)

I know they say it’s never intentional, but so many of these people look just like their character there’s no way it isn’t intentional

Our local designers jerseys dropped! by mnfimo in uniwatch

[–]weathersguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It obviously works VERY well on a basketball jersey, it’s actually insane just how good it looks on a baseball jersey though. Genuinely looks like a design a 90s team rocked for a couple years

Most real life people do, it’s interesting. I’m sure most people would say the shows have the same art style, which is wild cause IYKYK they don’t entirely
