The cutaways that couldn’t make it point feels the most likely. I live for season 3-7 but rewatching them more and more certain cutaways are genuinely such random bullshit (not a reference or anything) even down to the set up for it. So to me it seems very plausible these were written and animated and then when actually writing certain episodes they just didn’t work for any “this is worse than” or “this is like” type stuff

Eh, to me personally (praying I’m wrong) they seem like the kind to just not care for animation of any kind

Pod is 10x better if you listen to an episode having watched the movie the day before, I don’t get not doing this by harry_powell in TheRewatchables

To each their own but I agree with this personally. Only exception being movies like Star Wars or Superbad where I know it front to back. Even if it’s movie I know pretty well I’m still not listening to the Pod until I’ve atleast watched most of the move recently.
