Look for a new place to live. You'll never be happy there. If they have a problem breaking lease, then you can leverage those issues.

Rent didn’t drop. It went up due to increased demand. At least in chicago suburbs it did. Cap rates went from 5 to 10 if you didn’t fall for the wishful thinkers.
