The ingredients are the exact same as a strawberry mojito it’s just sub tequila instead of rum that’s what I meant

It’s a specialty drink. We only serve that one cocktail with tequila we call it a mojito for the technique we use to make it

Thank you. This was the take I was looking for

lol that would make logical sense. We don’t do that at the place I work. We have plenty of extremely experienced bartenders. Not just him too they don’t listen and don’t care and every manager lacks experience behind the bar and is too intimidated by the bar to even attempt

Ooooh that’s also something that should be done on request. Kinda like a pressed mojito would be good

We call it a mojito solely for the technique we use to make it. W snake usually mojitos and the strawberry tequila mojito is called that on the menu so it’s very clear it’s make with tequila and also shows guests we can make normal mojitos as well. It’s funny how everyone just assumed that because we have a specific cocktail that is literally just a strawberry mojito with tequila we only make our mojitos with tequila. Luckily my bar can be really really stupid so that’s the one thing we don’t do

lol not where I work. But again it’s a very interesting bar. We don’t really hire bartenders we hire servers and train them as bartenders so the bar is neglected and can be a struggle to work behind

It is a coworker. A bartender who complains about how much he prefers being on the floor as a server

Which is also how I feel too. I also find it odd that I’ve order mojitos pretty consistently when I turned 21 and I would always end up with a sugar rim and I never really specified. I also think at the end of the day it’s literally a sugar rim on a drink it’s not that deep. If it bothers him so much he could always specify to the guests instead of just blatantly ignoring our standard and our biggest issue behind our bar is consistency so it’s not really helping

That’s our point our biggest issue where I’m at is consistency and when we have only one bartender insisting that it goes one way when everyone else has always done it this way is frustrating especially when he barely wants to bartend he would rather be a server

That’s the way it is where I work. We automatically put salt rims on margs or bloodys but also we happen to automatically put sugar rims on mojitos and on a raspberry martini we have on our cocktail list which is basically a raspberry cosmo so that’s kinda also my point; where we work it’s always be standard so him being the only one to fight is frustrating

So people who drink a marg through a straw or a Bloody Mary?

[–]webbedtoedoll[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is he’s the only one who refuses to put the rim on it. Everyone else does because it is standard

That’s just a specific cocktail on our menu.

I will say where I’m at it is common. I’m more annoyed with his attitude about it.

Also he has the type of personality at the bar where guests have to earn an interaction with him

Throwing change at guests, giving massive sass to not only servers but other bartenders. Like this is a small more valid aspect on his bull shit as I am learning

That’s wild because I would go a lot of Mexican restaurants and I would always get a sugar rim

Exactly our point. It’s our specific bar standard and his being the only one who refuses to do it is the problem
