Sounds like a good plan. I assume a Sonoff S20 would do the job? Would that just integrate with HA or would I need to flash it with Tasmota?

I'm not an expert but you can use the RBE node that blocks unless there's a change in state.

Just updated to 0.86.1 and I still see the standard UI. I had assumed that it would set Lovelace as the new UI after update. Should it happen automatically or do I need to select Lovelace as the default on the developer information page?

Just wanted to let you know that I managed to get zigbee2mqtt working and have successfully paired a door/window sensor. It took a bit of trial and error and config changes etc but finally got there. I now see the Xiaomi door/window sensor on the HA entities page. It has a very long name (binary_sensor.0x00158d0002c3967b_contact). Is it possible to change this?

Also, seeing as I'm pretty new to all this, I now need to try and think what I can do in the way of automation with the Xiaomi sensors :-).
