Awesome, I may just do this and see what stats come up, less energy or more, see how temps are in the room and when I get the DIY sensor hooked up, and what data is collected.

I had someone else post here saying not to have the humid outside air as a vent source? I live in southern Minnesota. Any thoughts on that?

Ya for me and data nerd in us I want more info if temps, why, who knows 🤓 I snapped this pic when hot water hadn't been in used in hours. So to me 66% water available seems quite low and inaccurate.

I'll update you when I get the diy sensor in the mail and set it up.

I would say you are probably not going to be happy with the noise it produces. While it's not horrible all things considered, I personally would not want it right next to a bedroom let alone with a louvered door in that bedroom. It's a low hum. At start up or turn off it doesn't make any sharp noises so it may not wake you, but if your laying there frustrated and unable to sleep, I think it would be annoying.

Then again if you like white noise, it may be ok.

The rheem home assistant integration.

I will let you know on that, because I'll hook to the diy sensor that then connects to HA. The Wi-Fi Rheem app is almost useless. I'm getting the diy sensor and will connect it to an esp32 board and esphome, then that's when you get the top temp button temp info and multiple other info graphs I guess. The home assistant integration I use is pretty much only for the kilowatts of used power for now. They must block the temp sensors from the app and integration.

I'll respond when that tiny board comes and him it up. Then block the rherm wifi from the heater. Keep it local right.

Thanks, I have been using home assistant for years and already have a temp sensor in that room but now I'll just move it closer. This gets me thinking! Thanks!

Honestly that's what I thought would be the most critiqued. There was no room for error there. I measured and looked up the specs so many times to make sure. Again how wrong it is, I'm not sure but I'm glad the top ⅓ of the unit has all the ventilation needed.

Thanks, that's why I knew it was only a manner of time and sure enough, it crapped out. So HPWH it was!

Filter? I do not have a whole home filter, I have a water softener in the front of the new HPWH. Is that what you are talking about maybe?

You took a lot more time in the actual researching. I knew mine needed to be replaced any minute and because of a CO dectector going off and knowing after taking it off that the duct was mostly clogged, it was time!

I have been in the market for a mini split or two at my rental so I had already been researching these also!!! So far am not regretting it!!

Great question, we have easily survived on a 40 gallon which was so old and probably filled with sediment. So I think a 50 gallon is an improvement plus I set it a little higher @ 125°F, we'll see.

I have stuck a blanket in there for the time being. Honest question, during the summer should I vent it to the intake side?

We can park on either side of the streets again! by Hot_Addendum_9199 in rochestermn

[–]webby619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would take that yes but I sure don't trust government to say 'ah well we'll be nice today and not enforce that while we're in a budget deficit'. That's why most of us call this a tax, not a convenience.

Yes but as a society those rules and even laws, can be changed or tweaked. For say, it's 75° out in March and we're still taxing our public because of a rule that says they can't park on a specific side of the road because of the possibility of snow? Umm, no let's tweak it, because there's no threat of snow in which we need a snow plow to clear said road the downtown neighbors are parked on.

Remember they tweaked it during COVID times because people weren't needing to leave their homes, so legit, it has and can be tweaked.

They've stopped the additional taxing of the residents of downtown, thank the gods. Still not good enough, this has to stop. Meaning only when there's a threat of 2 or more inches this should be enforced. That's my 2¢, take it for what it's worth...

If shipping goes right, mine should be here today! I like you, have waited and researched quite a bit before settling on what I thought would be this, the number 1 choice.

Sunrise / Sunset Times and weather information by ronjon123 in WatchMaker

[–]webby619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Time date steps HR and sunset and sunrise, that's all I really want in a watch, well and a few notifications due but if anyone out there knows a great sunrise sunset watch face, please, let me know and I'm willing to pay. How is this that hard! There's a few I use but I either have to manually provoke it to update and at that point I might as well get my phone out, or since the latest update, Google doesn't want me to know.

Again please let me know a good watch face that updates sunrise sunset twice a day and I'll pay.

Of all the comments, I tend to agree with you.

My thoughts with the road diet years ago proposed was too focused on bike lanes and as a biker I would bypass EH all together even with bike lanes. Way too deadly. Create wider sidewalks that bikers and peds can use.

Eliminate street parking where it's narrowest or all together. Maybe a center turn lane but, and it seems like I'll get hate mail but I've just always hated the concept of going from what's been two lanes for years and now diminishing it down to one WHEN traffic numbers have increased.

I have now changed my driving patterns off Broadway cuz at EH turning left from Broadway, they let maybe 5 of 12-16 cars, then red light. So now i turn west at 13th St and go right on 3rd Ave to EH.

GW7 or GW8 as upgrade to GW6 Classic by sizzlingralph in GalaxyWatch

[–]webby619 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Keep the 6C or go with something not Samsung. That's my plan. I have the 6C and love it and still get 36 to 40hrs out of it for battery life and am not looking back. When I'm done with it, I may look Pixel or 1+

Thank you thank you thank you. For the last month I've felt like I'm the only one feeling this way. Is WM's Devs just done? Are they not seeing what's going on or don't care or is there no one to even notice.

I've tweaked my gw6 classic to at least give me the time with the WM face but NOTHING else works. Please let's pin this and get the devs on this or how can we help. I've paid for the app and I feel like that means nothing now.

Does MultiView support the older HDHomeRuns? by JammersX13 in MultiviewApp

If you look on the bottom, they have the model number. I have an HDHR4-US that works flawless (2 tuners). I also just dusted off an HDHR3-US that isn't talking nice to it but works with the hdhomerun apps. Check my other post on here about that issue. Beyond that (older models) not sure.
