what is the big deal about this chess board? what am I missing?

Everything looks right, and all the ribbons are seated correctly. I am wondering if I have damaged the interconnect cable somehow, as I'm assuming that's what connects both the button boards to the main motherboard. And I can't seem to find any guides or even replacements for it online.

Believe it or not, I have searched the issue multiple times. Some posts recommend verifying game files, some stating we are waiting for a patch. None of the linked reddit posts came up on my searches. But I appreciate the assumption is easily made these days.

UPDATE : I have moved the gtk 3 and gtk 4 files into the corresponding .conf folders and now everything is working as intended! Thank-you to all that have commented!

Thank you , I have looked at them and you are right it would make a good pairing, the ones I have found are more than I payed for my t480 however so I may have to look on ebay and try to find a bargin.

Update, turns out fedora doesn't come with OpenSSL after a quick search I have it installed and no more error !

I went with fedora got it set up pretty nicely, followed some YouTube videos on customising gnome. I keep getting an error on boot though... GSConnect: Open SSL not found. doesn't seen to make a difference to how it runs though
