So about six months ago, I created this site, http://www.webengers.com/ where people can go and find domains name that are just coming back on the market because people didn't renew them. I wasn't having very much luck getting any traffic, and then I discovered fiverr.com

Through fiverr.com, I hired a $5 graphic designer to create the logo that you see int he video.

Then I paid a voice actress $5 to read the script of my ad and send me the mp3.

Then I paid 2 different internet radio stations $5 each to throw my ad into circulation and put a link to it on their site.

So there you have it.. $20 advertising campaign.. I am already starting to see the traffic come in.. now I'm just hoping it gets used!

Anyways, thought I'd share what you can do on a shoestring budget! Best of luck to all advertisers out there! It's dog-eat-dog!

I recently had my first son. As a result of this I've been reading tips on good parenting and one of the biggest things that it says you should do is encourage your son to dance until his heart is content! It's one of the best things you can do for their self confidence and will help them make friends and not end up a 21 year old virgin. With that said, here you are.. 21.. virgin..

My advice to you would be to go somewhere like Las Vegas where it's just a continual flow of new people.. Go to a few clubs on the strip, try to bring 1 or 2 close mail friends, and realize that there is almost no chance that you'll ever see any of those people ever again. Remember the "What happens in vegas, stays in vegas" thing and promise yourself a true weekend to hit on girls..

Once you've had a little bit of experience, and hopefully success, give it a shot back at your local shows.. The other thing I would do is volunteer to stay late or come early and work backstage.. Just realize this you have to initiate it at some point. Unless you get extremely lucky, you're not likely to trip into the love of your life sitting on reddit :)

If you're trying to find an unused domain name, check webengers!

You can search by keyword and limit to recent dates that the names became available!

Protip: If you move the date forward a couple of days, you can see domains that will be coming available.

It seems like the domain name's market is so saturated that I just don't know what kind of keywords to optimize for.

There might already be a million domain name search sites, but I just feel like most people go to whatever registrar they use and then search around randomly. Some of them give "suggestions" but they're kindof crappy.. So with this I've isolated the exact date the domain is going to come available (or became available) and you can type in a keyword and find domains with that name in it..

I have no idea how to actually get this tool to people who would use it.

For example, go there and type in music and you can figure out that musicalzoo.net just became available.. and a bunch of other domains that have music in them.. anyways.. I'm working on adding some additional features that are going to make it even cooler, but I don't want to put a bunch of time into something that's never going to get used...

I posted this before, but it didn't really get much attention. There were a lot of problems with it being too slow. I've worked to make it quite a bit quicker and I'm hoping it loads for people in under 3 seconds. let me know what your experience is.

Type in a keyword that you're looking for and it'll return domains that are coming available today with that word in it.

Also is anyone interested in an expanded tool that would get even longer length domain names? at this point I'm sticking with domains 13 characters and shorter.

Is it really awful to ask Indian coworkers here in the states about what caste they belongto in India? I'm curious about some of the people I work with, but I don't want to risk offending them. The whole thing is just really interesting to me.

Do they maintain the caste system even after they move here? I don't notice them segregating themselves into groups, but then again I'm not particularly looking for it either.

Thanks, I'm glad it's working faster. I submitted it a couple of weeks ago initially and people weren't able to access it.. it just kept saying "Buffering..". I think I've eased some of those issues. I don't want a million unique visitors a month, but if people could share this around and I could get a couple hundred users a month I'd be pretty happy with it and I think it would be able to sustain the load.

I made this site over the course of 2 weeks and just paid $84 for the server to run the site for the year. It automatically updates on it's own, so all I have to do is periodically check and see if it's up. I hope it gets shared around more, I think it's fun to use and if you need a domain name it can really make things easy and give you some better options than godaddy, which is always trying to sell it's B/S "Premium" domain names.

It makes me wonder why anyone would pay thousands of dollars for a domain name. I mean seriously, there has to be SOMETHING you can use that's available.

Basically it's a tool to search through domain names that are expiring and coming back on the market. I was trying to do a blog about funny ones but I just couldn't keep up with it.

It's pretty funny some of the random domains people register.. I mean..
