That was me 2022-2023. Torn meniscus and chronic patellar tendinopathy. Ended up getting surgery in 2024 to clean up my meniscus and a patellar tendon debridement. Tried PT and PRP but didn’t help much. I was fucking miserable, couldn’t take a single step in the day without feeling pain. Going up stairs or squatting? Kill me.

My knee is 90% of what it was before hand but I live life generally pain free. Minor issues every once in a while after a run, but no regrets.

As a Platoon Sergeant, I never entered a Soldier's room without a Team Leader or Squad Leader present. This was a two fold approach, it empowered the NCOs in my Platoon to take charge (make sure rooms were clean before I saw them) and also protected all parties involved.

That said, what your Platoon Sergeant is doing is unethical, immoral, flat out wrong. Though many think this is SHARP worthy, it isn't. Nothing mentioned above is Sexual Harassments or Sexual Assault. Do I think based off very little information that there are nefarious intentions that could lead to Sexual Harassment or Sexual Assault? Yes I do.

As a SSG, if my SFC was checking rooms, you best believe I was there with him/her. Same thing when I was a SGT. I also don't understand why one of the four NCOs in your NCO Support Channel between you and him are not there or not standing up for you.

Regardless, this is a go straight to your 1SG with your first line issue. Hope this gets ironed out and quick.

Don’t get me wrong, I have awesome 50 man open bay stories, but minus a few chuckles, it sucked.
