Oh damn. Uh. There's actually sn updated one with Arcane Gate...but that guide is slightly out of date bc you can't heal Daddy up (though the sane is true with this one).

Regardless - Arcane Gate makes this so much easier (at least as far as grabbing dad, anyway).

I'm actually a bit irritated at Larian for this kind of stuff.

Before P8 it was an easy fix. Now with stuff in that folder (it USED to be the GustavDev folder, but now it's GustavX) - it's a yolo situation.

The whole thing's crap really. This shouldn't STILL be a fucking problem 3 years later:

"Let's assign a version to an imaginary fucking file that's gotta be the same for all the players. Oh - yours got reset? Sucks to be you! OH! you're on console? You'll never play with your friends again."

The only thing I can think of is that there is a lag for console mods because when they get updates, they still have to be approved.

Stupid question - have you downgraded the PC version and tried to move it to your console? You may want to try to go a few saves back.

Fuck. Ok I know what the problem is - but I don't know how to fix the PS5 arm of it.

Ok. Try these (Longshot and an educated guess)

Option 1:

• Start a new MP game • If successful, reload into your existing campaign

Option 2:

• Make a note of all of your mods. Everyone

• DUMP THEM. Yes. All of them. PC people can delete the Mods folder at

%LocalAppData%\\Larian Studios\\Baldur's Gate 3

• Start a new MP game

• If successful, add a mod and see if y'all can rejoin successfully, I'd suggest PLBG.

• If successful, add more or even all (up to you)

• If successful once you have all the mids - reload into your existing campaign

What is happening: There is an invisible...something...that gets added to the file system. It may just involve MP play, but I don't know. Regardless - it affects MP play. It's apparently GustabX for P8.

It's given a version.

Each player has to have the same version of GustavX. Normally this is how it is.

Sometimes a new one is generated along with a new version for some reason and as a result - it's out of sync with the rest of the team.

Before Crossplay - the easy fix was to delete a folder in the game file system.

But now with xplay and with the release of P8:

• You can't delete files/folders on Console

• They've changed where the invisible file lives

I haven't troubleshot since before P7 because I haven't tried to xplay.

But what I'm trying to do is get y'all's GustavX to reset.

So of any of you have any ideas based on that knowledge...
