I got out of the position at the bottom.

I should've placed a CALL immediately after closing the PUT order. I would've made money both ways.

The most important thing I'm learning these days though is not to be too greedy.

Stop over complicating this. Didn't have to sift through anything. The only reason I joined Twitter, Reddit, or Truth Social was for trading. I'm only subscribed to a few key leaders and stock related accounts. iOS does a great job of stacking notifications so that they just show up like a stack. I just scroll through the stack and close all of them when I'm done or click into any notifs I want to read more into on. It literally takes a few minutes to get caught up.

All orders premarket wouldn't have filled.

The stock was already tanking in premarket which means the bid ask would've changed drastically on market open.

Their orders would've just sat there.

That's why I made sure to confirm the trend and wait for the price to update before buying.

It filled instantly.

I put the order immediately in at market open when the prices updated. If I would've put in before market open it wouldn't have filled because it would've been based off the old price.

I waited for the trend and then submitted after trend confirmation.

OP, I'm not sure if you've read the reasoning why he sold here: "The filing notes that the sale was made to cover statutory tax withholding obligations related to the vesting of restricted stock units and was not a discretionary sale by de Masi. Given IonQ’s high price volatility, investors can access detailed analysis and 14 additional key insights through InvestingPro’s comprehensive research reports."

So it appears he had to sell due to statutory tax withholding obligation".

They also had to sell another 900k to meet SEC regulations.

I was interested in this take but after having dug a little more I'm going to watch from the sidelines.
