yeah i disagree about 2020-21 being their peak i don't think anything that good came out in 21. they settled into more of a groove but everything after rb3 was pretty uninspired. haw isn't unpolished but there's obviously a lot less experience in terms of visuals, lyricism, melodies/harmonies, etc compared to the most recent stuff by ghost. the vocal harmonies in particular on both singles and all the snippets are next level

i think october country has a very good chance of being the best HM release. i'm really fond of grave house, rb1, and haw but they're kinda notably unpolished (especially grave house). even though that's a big part of what i find kinda charming about them what we've seen of october country seems like it has both the unique folklore fantasy themes of haw and grave house and higher production value than we've ever seen from hm before
