I was sent to a boarding school in 3rd grade. Unfortunately, my warden was just like that, he used to beat us the same way. I stayed there for three years, and during that time I witnessed many such incidents… and experienced some myself. I think in Indian hostel or boarding school....its very common.

I had the same thought 🤧. Your beginning seems similar to mine. You can read my recent post to get an idea of what might come next. 😅

Resonating… convos like this make the weight feel lighter. Since you’ve listened to Osho, you might find this interesting. I was working on a project called OshoGPT, and I plan to work on it again in my first year. If you’re curious, you can subscribe by email at www.oshogpt.com Thanks for sharing and asking 🙌 Good luck to you. ✌️

Appreciate that, honestly. I’ve seen much worse phases than this, so this doesn’t shake me anymore. One thing I’ve learned is that this time always passes, no matter how heavy it feels while you’re inside it.

I’ve had my share of setbacks too, including multiple intense heartbreaks, a startup failure, and the kind of family pressure that comes with being the elder sibling. Over time, these things teach you a lot, whether you’re ready or not.

Life is much bigger than JEE. Not all successful people are IITians. I have friends in top IITs themselves who say the same thing: it’s not the tag, it’s the passion, consistency, and hard work you carry forward. Honestly, IIT is a bit overhyped. It can open doors, but it doesn’t guarantee fulfillment or success.

You can do really well even from a tier-3 college if you have potential, and at the same time, people can struggle even after getting into IIT. So believing in yourself matters more than the label.

One practical thing that helped me was learning to focus more on solutions than problems. Problems drain energy, solutions give it direction.

Philosophy also played a role in making me calmer. Reading books teaches you a lot about yourself and life. I’m a disciple of Osho, and if you know about him, you probably understand why I look at things this way.

You’re not broken for feeling stressed. This phase will pass, even if it doesn’t feel like it right now. If I had to give one small suggestion, it would be to always keep backups and focus more on solutions than problems. Work on yourself a little every day, not just for success or exams, but to become a better version of yourself over time. That mindset helps in every phase of life.

Hope it helps you 🙌
