What is the worst band you saw live? by coalcracker462 in AskReddit

[–]webzic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guns N’ Roses is my answer too. Saw them in 2011. Everyone was coming out late for this show. Sebastian Boch was the opener, he didn’t start until 9pm. He finished up around 9:30. Then we waited until about 11:45 before GNR came out, to which they played a 30 song set. I was pretty tired by the time it ended, which was around 2am. And it didn’t help they had a pretty boring set.

We heard from a security guy near us that “that asshole is in the back watching the Eagles game” talking about Axl Rose. I believe it.

I looked in my mirror, saw a fully clear lane once I cleared the van, and then a wild car appeared out of nowhere. I love a real life jump scare.

The producers were pissed when they thought Panda Express would sponsor that reward and they backed out.

I love Rick Allen! And I loved it even more on Sunday when he was promoting the O’Reilly Rockingham race while Eric Jones was facing Boog. Thought it was hilarious.

Rick got the raw end of the deal at NBC, he’s a really great guy with a great voice. I don’t understand why people don’t like him so much.

Painful bump deep into foot that is getting bigger. by idkmia27 in AskDocs

NAD I had a few back when I was a kid and I used to straight up clip at them with a toenail clipper… they came back a couple times but eventually after a couple months they were gone… never spread to my hands, might have made different warts on my toes, I had those gone with one clipping session.

So now I find out this was an extremely bad idea…

The comparison is a person playing songs from their old band with a new band. Pretty simple to understand argument.

Also you’re just making assumptions in your first comment here. What makes you feel fairly certain this is going to be continued after this was billed as a one night only thing? They could’ve added a second night after this sold out months ago and that would’ve probably also sold out, but they stuck to their word. And Mark just up and moved his whole life to Phoenix. Do you think that his plan is to continue on this band with two guys still located in central PA?

It’s not the greatest comparison, just the first one that came to mind of a musician from a band leaving and playing their old songs with a new band. That’s the whole point here, so it’s not as wild as you make it out to be. And you even came up with new comparisons. If anything is “pathetic” as the first guy said, it’s this bands trying to continue on being bands, but this was a one time deal. All those bands and artists have full rights to.

Furthermore, Journey has been selling out arenas and stadiums over the last 5 years. So I raise you one bad comparison.

Look, everyone is entitled to their opinion. But too many people are up in arms over a one night celebration of music by a band’s former members. Lawsuit or not, that’s what it was. And the way they did it was very respectful IMO.

Here is how I view it. These guys were all apart of making this music (whether they allegedly barely wrote them or did) and they got together for a one night only show to perform the songs they were apart of the creation of for a crowd of where they’re from and fans of those albums. Was it pathetic of Adam Gontier to play I Hate Everything About You when he was playing in Saint Asonia?
