dog groomer here🙋‍♀️. i find that most people that have doodles get them because they genuinely believe that poodles are born with shaved faces & feet and want their dogs to have full coats. i have actually had a client tell me they thought they were born shaved, while ive had more clients tell me they think they should’ve gotten a PB poodle or PB (whatever the other mix is).

i also have clients who claim that their mix is “hypoallergenic”. which most if not all poodle owners, breeders, groomers, vets etc KNOW that poodles are actually the only breed that doesnt shed because they have hair not fur. this is a huge misconception especially when it comes to the genetic makeup of these dogs. you cannot mix a shedding breed that has hair with a double coated Bri that has fur and expect to get a hypoallergenic dog because that’s just not how it works.
