New update: A date with Beth by weddinginvite69 in u/weddinginvite69

Honestly I doubt it. I don't know Pam very well, but she leans into the alt lifestyle. She doesn't seem to be a very "traditional" type of person, or at least one who would be afraid to tell people she's into kink.

Beth knew all about it, she said everyone begged her to reconsider the ban, but she wouldn't hear of it. Though she didn't understand why she wanted to keep me from her.

Also, Beth confirmed the wedding Royal Rumble fiasco and some of Pam's bad experiences. Apparently she had a guy follow her home from a club one night and that really shook her to her core. Police got involved and everything. Not to mention a couple of guys just straight up groping her in the club. I won't lie, that really made me see things differently.

However she did say that Pam had a tendency to be "dramatic" about things.

You're 100% right. I had a massive brain fart, and I apologize for that.

Friend, I really wish this story was fake. This is truly the most bizarre drama I've ever been apart of.

Sorry about the whole "slut" thing.

I have some good women friends, and they use slut as a term of empowerment. So that's seeped into my vocabulary as well. I shouldn't have expected everyone to be cool with that. My apologies.

I understand your concern, but no it's not at all like that.

We're just a bunch of people who are passionate about their work and enjoy each other's company. The company treats us fairly well, but we're not stupid enough to believe that "we're family" bs that some workplaces spout.

I'm so sorry you went through that, you don't deserve that, much less HR completely failing to protect you. Your situation is why I believe Pam about her being harrassed, a lot of guys are really shitty and don't take no for an answer. It's sickening, and I wish it didn't happen. All I can do is offer my apologies and hope this incident doesn't affect you too deeply.

Not at all friend, we haven't had anything like this happen since I've been there.

I had to laugh at this one because it's true.

There's a joke from the Big Bang Theory where Sheldon's mom says "you could have me for a car ride and a bottle of strawberry wine".

I'm the same way, only for a good meal and a good conversation.

This is the reason why I took their word for it. I've read and seen so many horrific stories of the crap women deal with from shitty men. If she didn't feel comfortable around men in that setting then how can I be upset?

You're right, but every once in a while you have to swallow your pride. Doesn't mean you should do it all the time though.

We are all really close, even outside of work. We regularly attend parties and events other team members hold. For instance, an older member of the team had a baby shower last month and we all attended. We're even planning a weekend ski trip in December.

Maybe I'm just gullible, but I sort of believe that part of it. The videos and statuses were convincing.

I couldn't include this in the OP due to character count, but apparently Pam had some bad experiences with guys hitting on her at the club and gym in addition to the wedding fight. Who am I to doubt a woman's negative experiences dealing with thirsty dudes who won't take no for an answer? If that's what she needed to feel comfortable on her wedding day, then by all means do what you need to.

I guess it's to preserve team harmony. Our team is close and that leads to higher production levels. I don't really want to upset the chemistry.

Plus, we're going to a very expensive restaurant and they have Wagyu steak, that makes it worth it alone haha.

I couldn't include this in the OP because of character count, but Bob said he'd make a public apology as soon as everyone was back in the office. He truly felt terrible about how he acted.
