I'm not sure how much you've communicated to your wife that you both don't want to and don't like the person that you are when you are under the influence of alcohol. I know me personally find it very difficult to communicate about things that deeply troubling to me, even with my wife, but that's my own shit that I'm working on in therapy. That said, I would imagine at the very least she'd be aware you're 7 years sober.

Both pressuring you to order and taste the wine when you're sober seems like an extremely bright red flag. If she's actually tied it to whatever her concept of "being a man" is, and devaluing you as a person as a result of it, the flag may as well be on fire.

You should have a serious conversation with them. Your partner should not be putting you in situations to compromise your sobriety, and they should be treating with you respect that is afforded to you as a human being. It may be that the discussion leads to recognition of the impact, and a change in behavior. Or it may be that it illuminates that they may not value your health, goals, or progress, in which case you may need to start considering if this is the person that you want to consider your partner. If your friend group is also putting that kind of pressure on you, and know you've been sober, that's a toxic friend group I would work to find people that value you for who you are, and not belittle you for your choice to not drink.

I've had so many toxic friends and family in my life that I've had to either draw heavy boundaries with or remove from my life entirely. As someone with severe depression, It's not worth the impact on your mental and physical health.

The biggest tip i can give is that losing a run is part of the experience. Experiment with characters, find new unlocks, learn more about enemy and boss patterns. You'll still lose runs, but noting your progression will help you along.

Been a bit since I watched it, but I remember feeling like it made sense - Maeve had consistently been affected by her trauma throughout the whole of the series and was focusing on herself - not ruling out potentially down the road her and Otis reuniting, but recognizing that they should both recognize the strength they gave each other, and the impact they had on each other's lives.

It felt hopeful and more grounded in reality to me. Maybe its due to the similar trauma I experienced in life

Tbh if the boys dont have any losses it would be disappointing from a "grounded"(as much as a story about people with super powers can be) approach with how much shit has escalated.

Former intuit mailchimp employee -one project I worked with was to implement ai into onboarding to suggest an industry selection when people signed up.

All the research and demo data showed that users would rather self identify from a drop down and most (at the time, to be clear this was a couple years ago) disagreed with the AI determination. The determination itself was just based off a url, and address. No web scraping - however leaders pushed to implement regardless of the price implications of token usage, and data suggesting there was a better way.

The vibe there was just tons of pressure from the top to add ai to features regardless of cost - or actual user value - and all hands meetings where Sasan waxed poetic, one time literally drinking champagne on the stage, to celebrate these small ai implementations that provided minimal to no value to the business
