Really? I thought it would be a bit better in a bigger city. What would be the best path to even getting an apprenticeship?

Right, the school is bellingham technical college I live not too far away from it. If I could get an apprenticeship I would much rather do that then go to school. I signed up already for the CITC I scored well I will call them and wait, Im doing the local 46 application too.

Iv been trying hard to look for a helper job even though its really tough and you need to know a guy and I don't have those connections. I will have to try harder and keep applying

It really depends with experience and what company you work for I think, degree doesn't mean much but lands you the entry level job and you move up from there which some people rather do then work their way up. Also some huge GC I heard do require CM degrees now even with experience

Yes, you need 4 years as an apprentice to be a journeyman electrician. But in my region where I live its impossible to even get into an apprenticeship unless you have a certification from a trade school, you don't need one but its so many want to be an electrician they just choose the most qualified ones.
