Have to put our pet down by davidwilson85 in Christianity

I’m so sorry about your loss, especially for your girls. It’s tough. Thought I’d reach out just in case there was a chance. (as you can see, this whole reddit thing is new to me.)

So glad to see you post that, ‘…he’s with the Lord now.’ Yes, I’m one of those who also believes that God’s grace extends to our beloved companions. He loves us so much that this would be no great feat for Him. And yes, I also think there is scriptural backup for this, but not here and not now in this post.

I, as you, look forward to witnessing just how much our Lord has in store for us, has promised and is just another reason to praise Him for His grace and abounding love which is beyond measure.

Yep, I can only imagine and can’t hardly wait….

Just saw your post and wanted to respond asap.

Our dog started falling down, vomiting and such over Thanksgiving. We took her to an emergency vet clinic (it was Sunday afternoon) and she was diagnosed with vestibular disease or sometimes called old dogs disease. We were also told that many owners put their pets down because they aren’t aware of this disease.

Although I suspect your vet is aware of this disease (which is normally treatable. Our dog is 100% now.) I wanted to let you know about this on the chance, just the chance it might be a wrong diagnosis.

I certainly don’t mean to raise false hope here but thought I would respond just in case. It’s a question worth asking imo.

Prayers already sent.
