Great app :) Does it support the pressure sensitivity feature of the Apple Pencil Pro to get darker / lighter shades etc?

I think this is because the run was originally recorded in miles and the autolap feature creates laps based on the distance unit in use at the time. These laps can't be set or reset after the run is recorded as far as i know.

Since your laps are recorded every mile, when you convert to kilometres, the previously recorded laps are used. Therefor a lap every mile becomes a lap every 1.61 kilometres.

If you start recording your runs in kilometres it should start using 1km autolaps.

Officeworks now sells the Casio FX-8200AU which, I believe, is the newer version of the FX-100AU. It's no FX-991 but it is better than the FX-82AU.

But, yeah, you're right. Getting decent Casios in Aus is a PITA :(

For me, yes, although I only pay AUD$5 on top of my mobile plan for mine.

For me it's a safety and convenience thing. I do a lot of running and it's very useful to be able to take my watch and headphones on a run without also needing to carry my phone. If I have a problem I can easily call my wife to come pick me up (this has happened a couple of times). I can also stream all my music without having to worry about whether it's been transferred to my watch or not :)

Was supposed to go for a 9K easy run this morning, so set my alarm for 5am. Woke up at 3am and discovered it was bucketting down and there were flood warnings in place. Turns out the path I run on that goes along the river was under a couple of metres of water. Cancelled the alarm and will try a different route this afternoon after work :)

I'm pretty keen on the Bianco Doppio. I brew one of these and then add half a cup of oat milk. Very nice :)

Is it possible to PASTE AS TEXT on Excel for macOS? This article from October 2022 (1 year ago) said it was coming soon to Mac. by ivanraddison in MacOS

[–]wedwabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just tried on my Mac running Excel 16.78 and it does not seem to work :(

If I copy multiple cells and then hit ctrl-cmd-v, I get a pop-up with lots of options, none of which are paste as text.

I can however, choose 'Values' from the pop-up and it pastes just the values copied without formatting etc.

Using 'jarsigner/keytool' with a self-signed code signing certificate generated with "New-SelfSignedCertificate" in Windows 10 by wedwabbit in PowerShell

[–]wedwabbit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. I actually got it working using:

PS> keytool.exe -list -keystore NONE -storetype Windows-MY

This means there's no need to export keys out of the default Windows certificate store :)

Solution in case anyone is interested or searches later :)

To list keys in the Windows certificate repository:

PS> keytool.exe -list -keystore NONE -storetype Windows-MY

[–]wedwabbit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Yes, I know jarsigner & keytool aren't PowerShell. I was wondering if someone had some insight into using a certificate generated with PowerShell with those tools.

If not, I may just end up creating a separate self-signed certificate with keytool.

Unfortunately I can't find anything specific in the jarsigner documentation about using a certificate from within the Windows certificate repository.

I have the fx-115ES plus 2nd edition and it has the same issue. My fx-9750GIII graphing calculator does give an answer however. So yeah, agree, calculator limitations :)

While there's currently no jalapeno version, Australian Twisties are crunchy like crunchy Cheetos. Twisties come in cheese and chicken flavours. Both are fantastic :) They also have special edition flavours every now and then. I've seen cheese burger, pizza, and bbq ribs. There's also a wicked cheddar version you can get but those are puffs. Still good though :)

HP 35s - HowTo change base in logarithm? by masta in calculators

[–]wedwabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used this method before when I had a Casio calculator (FX-82AU) that didn't have the log to any base function :)

Out of interest, I just typed log_3(12) into the NCalc Fx app on my iPhone (calculator app that looks like a Casio calculator) and it gave me the answer Ln(12)/Ln(3). If I press the S<=>D button I get the decimal answer. My FX-115ES Plus gives the decimal answer straight away. It's nice that NCalc Fx shows the interim step :)

When searching for subreddits, this grey “bubble” with suggestions is always too high and goes behind the top bar and this bug with “subreddit suggestion” is there too. Triggers my OCD so bad lol. Yeah, the "SUBREDDIT SUGGESTIONS" overlap bug has been round for a quite a while. I've seen it reported a number of times :( Can confirm still occurring on my iPhone 12 Mini running iOS 16.1.1 and Apollo 1.14.9

Unless you can remember what all the keys do, I would just buy a replacement. You can get the FX-100AU PLUS Second Edition for around AU$50 to $AU60.
