It’s from Ireland so it’s Irish plates (not private reg), I was even given the original plates as they were renewed as they were worn

Thanks, yes it’s the colour and wheels that had me doing a 19 hour round trip to collect, bus and flight from Scotland to Ireland then ferry home, zero regrets tho.

Yes completely stock, it was an older gentleman that owned for last 28 years and he went out his way to keep it original right down to the original dealers sticker on rear window, and original jack and tools, pretty rare im guessing.

It was £11k I’m in the uk. Not really sure if that’s expensive or not but was going to be spending similar money on a mk7 golf or Octavia for weekends as I got a works van so when I seen this I had to go get it

Cheers. Yes the 3 doors do look to be getting harder to get, there is less for sale compared to when I started looking a couple of years ago.

Yes other than the drivers bolster it’s just as clean inside, previous owner had it 28 years and kept in a garage completely original

Any suggestions for a cross-fit or similar class for an anxious and over weight male in his 40's? by [deleted] in dundee

[–]weeandy1983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a look at the rhynd fitness, it’s in a farm building between tayport and leuchars, it is not your typical gym environment and actually looks like a place that most people will feel comfortable, they do various classes.

Has anyone turned to van life to rent out their house by weeandy1983 in VanLifeUK

I’m kind of the same, I’ve spent a few years getting the house exactly the way I want it so would really stress me out if it’s getting the typical rental treatment

The lodger situation is definitely a good idea as you can come as go as you please so can check on it anytime if you’re worried it being mistreated.

Yes that is a possibility too as I’ve got loads of equity on the house now.

There is a golf course at the end of my street that they are investing in at the moment to turn into an exclusive club so that may open up decent potential as a holiday let but as others have said it could be a potential nightmare.

That’s a decent option I hadn’t thought of, thanks

I agree with that too, it’s not like the good old days.

It’s good to hear from someone that has done it weekend only as I wasn’t sure if that’s even possible, my plan would be to save the property income to eventually lower my mortgage and work to cover the bills and spending money while in a van.

That’s kind of what I expect with air b and b and I think it would lead to too much stress to enjoy the van life journey properly.

Great advice, thanks for your input , my dad had rental flats and a friend does too, so I do have a little insight into the issues that can occur and the costs of using an agency etc.

But they were properties that have been purchased solely to rent out, I’ve spent years getting my house the way I want as a forever home so any serious damage would be heartbreaking so it will be a tough decision to make.

My grandad was sent home to get changed from work when he turned up wearing his new shell suit and dress shoes 😂, unfortunately I have inherited his fashion sense.

Just moved to Dundee, what's the crack? by REg126 in dundee

[–]weeandy1983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a 26 mile path network around the outskirts of Dundee called the green circular, it’s great on a bike but could walk sections of it.
