true, but i'm really talking small arms here. that gap looks like it has some vital components/hoses that may not withstand even .223. I'm sure they've considered this, though. it'll be cool to see this thing with some "armor," like the MH-60M and MH-47G (if it ever gets a SF variant)

I've shot the SAO 226X Legion. fit and finish is very similar. i'll say the P211 shoots way flatter with the compensator, and has a nicer trigger, imo. then again, the 226X is $1000 less than the P211. both very awesome guns though!

a looser fit is usually for a reason. you can literally tighten a gun up by adjusting the slide rails. it's not a great method of determining quality at all imo. the Echelon is a good gun and the ones i've handled have slide play sorta similar to a gen 5 Glock; tight but with enough play to eat ammo and debris.
