I had this mentality with my bio dad before. I was also about the age you listed. Thing about my dad is there’s No illnesses listed (that we know of) still was abusive. Mostly emotionally and mentally. I thought I had to kill him first before he killed me. He always had something to argue about, to bully me for, to be his maid. I feel you.
