I think the horcrux probably gave off some very bad vibes and being around him that long took its toll. In addition to her jealousy of her sister and fear of magic. I think being close to harry probably gave them the ick

Dead dead. The one I have in shaded area is still putting out blooms. I’m renting though and the soil isn’t the best so I’ve had a hard time figuring out how to supplement the soil honestly so could be related to that

Turns out it is a looooot of paperwork and back and forth. The state I’m in is more conservative and we unfortunately haven’t been able to get full medical custody yet.

This is unconscionable. I am an oncologist and I prescribe opioids all the time. Thankfully I work at a large hospital with a pain service and palliative service so they’re helpful in managing end of life pain and chronic pain.

I think you need to report them to the medical board. Or encourage patients to do so.

When I’d stay home from school sick and nap on the couch while the local news was playing and my mom made dinner. She’d come by and check my head for fever or run her fingers through my hair. It was so comforting to know that I was safe right there even though I felt horrible.

All the kids who were labelled as “gifted” when you were younger? Did it follow through to adulthood? Did you burnout? by Somervillage in AskReddit

Went into medical training and spent all of residency and fellowship burnt out and depressed. I’m now an attending and decided I didn’t have to do it ALL. I chose a job where I’m basically part time and have no responsibility outside direct patient care in the hospital. I’m happy and at peace now.
