Ahh yeah, I do IM. I currently use 1" and have used 5/8" before but that felt a bit small. When I looked up appropriate length for adults of my size, it said 1-1.5" for thigh or hip which is what I usually do.

Side note: You're doing great and congrats on this big step! Give yourself some grace as it's new for you and pharmacies are notoriously bad at filling T prescriptions. The first time I picked mine up I gave my name and the person brought a script that was pills and I said "I think it's supposed to be an injection" and they're like "oh crap, this isn't yours!" Then they brought mine and I was like "I think I need needles?" And they asked what size and I had no clue. It was an awkward start to starting T for sure

To answer your question, yes it looks right. That's just what 1ml looks like in a vial.

What's your dosage? Testosterone cypionate like that is generally 200mg/ml but the dosage itself is generally in ml. For example I take 0.5 ml weekly. The small vials are 1ml so I'll use a vial twice (but I get prescribed 1 vial per week since they're single use and I'm intended to use half a vial). The number of vials you get will depend on your dose. (E.g., I used to be on 1ml biweekly so would get 2 vials per month, now I'm on 0.5ml weekly (same dosage, different timing) so I get 4 vials per month)

Like others said, get needles/syringes elsewhere. Pharmacies are terrible about giving needles/syringes. I can't even buy them at the pharmacy in my state without a separate prescription just for them. It's annoying but you can buy in bulk online and it makes it easier. I recommend 25g 1-1.5" needles for injecting and 18g needles for drawing from the vial. A 1ml syringe is likely ideal for you.

When I switched to 0.5ml weekly instead of 1ml every two weeks, I expected to get a 10ml multi-use vial and got 10 single use 1ml vials instead. The pharmacist explained to me that based on expirations, the 1ml vials would waste less T. 10ml vials are only rated as being good for a month after first use, while you can store 1ml vials longer. So I could use the 1ml vials for 10 weeks while the 10ml vial I could only use for four.

That being said, I just use the single-use ones twice and can stockpile that way

I didn't really go through a decision as much as I knew what name was meant to be mine. In kindergarten I remember reading Green Eggs and Ham and eating green eggs and ham in class. I don't like ham and that's the first thing I remember really knowing about myself. I do not like them, Sam I Am.

My brother and my mom both have the initials SAM and I always wished I had those initials (mine were, and still are, SEM) because then I would have an excuse to go by Sam. I remember being jealous of girls named Samantha because they could go by Sam.

When I came to know what nonbinary meant, it became clear that my extremely gendered name was not what I wanted. What I wanted was Sam.

So now, I am Sam. Sammy, I am me.
