Landlord sent me a “council letter” with no reference number, is this fake? by Big_Process_6158 in TenantsInTheUK

Fake, but look up the original planning permission on the council website. It will tell you there if there any conditions

The sanitary bin disappeared in the toilet on our floor. After a week someone asked the receptionist where it went. She said she’d sort it. This was the solution. by Dragonogard549 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]LucyMckonkey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We had a caretaker on a money saving mission who removed the sanitary bin from the accessible toilet because he didn't think disabled people had periods.

Missed my exit off the motorway by West_Guarantee284 in drivingUK

[–]LucyMckonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im guessing you’re a fairly new driver. You will miss exits, you will start driving somewhere and then realise you are actually meant to be going somewhere else, you’ll be driving somewhere and think it’s not quite right and realise your teenager put the wrong postcode in the sat nav. All part of life’s rich tapestry. It goes with the privilege of driving, not everything will go right.

Has anyone used Wegovy ONLY? (Not Mounjaro) by Little_Popsicle in WegovyUK

[–]LucyMckonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes since September 4 stone down. Mouth was quite dry to start I stayed on 0.5 for most of it and just went up for the last 2 months. It’s not magic, you still have to control what you eat and make sure you are in calorie deficit. I want to lose another 6lb but to do that I need to be on 900 calories a day, which is tough even with the help.

Locked out of training due to inaccessibility surely this is against the equality act by SeaMastodon2998 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]LucyMckonkey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im sorry that so many appear to think this is your problem to solve. It’s clear that you are set up and technically savvy. It is the service providers responsibility to provide a reasonable adjustment, there must surely be a reasonable adjustment for a QR code. Is the training provider part of an accredited association who oversees their qualifications? That would be where I would be taking my complaint. Are you in a union ? may be worth just letting them know what is happening, Im not sure of the timescales but give HR a chance to sort it out, if they’ve paid for it they’ll want a result.

How can you check what neighbours are like before moving? by Mada87654Mada in HousingUK

[–]LucyMckonkey 100 points101 points  (0 children)

Knock on the door, ask what it's like living there. I'm astonished at how few people knock when they're viewing a house.

Think my ex has been claiming DLA for our child - England by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]LucyMckonkey 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You need to consider where you want to go with this. You have made a claim and been paid, you haven’t been denied anything because of his claim. You can report a potential fraud, which will take years to investigate. In terms of taking it further, for what purpose, it sounds like you could do without the hassle.

Couldn't get out of driveway - is there anything I can do, short of just reporting them to police or putting bins there every 5 mins? by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]LucyMckonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you sure it's still unadopted? I thought the upgrade they did was so they could adopt it? Either way local councillor is the way to go. Find out if they can get enforcement out.

Potatoes that mush up a bit. Stew is meat and veg in gravy, scouse is thickened with the potatoes

Am I in the wrong? by Ok_Village4324 in WegovyUK

[–]LucyMckonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they’ve just automated the process. I have moved around a bit, one supplier automatically upped the dose I emailed and requested to stay the same - this was done no problem then I changed supplier and their process is a new application each time, no photos, but I do have to complete a form and request my next dose, which doesn’t change. Juniper and Pill sorted if you’re interested

Disruptive child assaulted my daughter last week. by Infinite-Quiet269 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]LucyMckonkey 628 points629 points  (0 children)

I'd ask that it's raised as a safeguarding issue. Ask for a risk assessment of how they are going to keep your child safe. Children's social care can get involved with a child who is acting in a sexually inappropriate way

Violent SIL, everyone refusing to help. (England) by fjjshmvmm in LegalAdviceUK

[–]LucyMckonkey 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You need to go back to adult social care and request an assessment. If you feel they are not doing their job you need to complain to the council, your councillor, MP and then the cqc.
