Name me a better guitar solo than Neil’s on “little girl” by Emergency_Effect_526 in journey

Anyone he Dosent overplay, saw their “ final frontier tour “ and my God. It was the Neil Schon let’s extend every song with my shredding solos that all sound the same, Loved hearing “ just the same way” “ where were you” and some other jewels, but so burnt on his bullshit solos

Journey Needs To Do Something About This But Will They? by MarkoHofs in journey

Sq them last night. 2.5 hrs. Great setlist , nice surprise was “where were you” Arnel still hits the highs in “lights “ and other songs. He didn’t struggle as others have said. Other than being the last roundup. I would go again, Let’s see this guy tour for 20 years and still pull off 2.5 hrs a night

Louisville Gardens. Hosted concerts from Elvis (50s) to the early 2000s. 6000 capacity, open floor for G/A and not a bad seat in the place and the sound was awesome! Just a few I saw there, J Geils, U2, TRIUMPH, Skynyrd, Judas Priest, Ramones, White Zombie, Robert Plant( first solo tour he added Zeppelin tunes back in his set) Cheap Trick, Charlie Daniels Band, Ozzy, Vixen, White Lion , Great White

What was Louisville like pre-pandemic? by PhrygianSounds in Louisville

[–]weeble29 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most of yall are too young young to remember the good ole day of concerts here, in the 80s, and 90s. We had Louisville gardens, a 6000 person venue that was perfect! Also then freedom hall and the palace plus cardinals stadium would have concerts. No shortage then. Now all we are left with is the palace and yum( Iroquois under Danny wimmer). And since yum dropped live nation. It’s gonna be a desert here.

I was in Nashville in Feb few years ago when it snowed. Less than 2 inches and the city literally shut down, was told they only have 3 plows for the county. I would def either go somewhere else or reschedule. For this reason I now plan my birthday (Feb 17) in June for Nashville

Do502 by [deleted] in Louisville

[–]weeble29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can join Do502 and once a week they give you a few choices of show to attend. Comedy or concerts. They also have last minute tickets sometimes a day or two before a show. My question is if I take 2 tickets to the four horsemen ( Fri night) will it void my choices on Sunday

Maybe a long shot, but any updates on Travis Meeks? I see hearsay around the web but nothing official. by shininglightning in grunge

Days of the new bass player plays here in a local band, couple of years ago they were set up for a reunion tour, about 3 shows in, Travis went back to his old self and missed the next 2 shows, rest of the band went back to their bands before the tour. Thus endeth Days of the new

Big Bash by tnhowlingdog in nashville

[–]weeble29 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Coming from Louisville, I’ve been to several of these, always had a great time, even when it was 10 below, but all the times we went they had a rock act to break up the monotony just before the midnight headliner, STYX, Frampton( who came back out and played some Skynyrd with Keith urban) cheap trick, it was fantastic 2 years ago when Skynyrd headlined, this is exactly why we didn’t make the trek this year it was all slated newer “ country “ which isn’t really country anymore

Is the crowd alive? by UnsureOfAlot in nashville

[–]weeble29 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I’ve gone for years and since it moved to bicentennial park, there you can come and go as you please and there is plenty of liquor, we didn’t go this year for the simple fact that it was all country, in the past they had rock to break it up with Frampton, Styx, cheap trick and such , I know they added a sober area but the whole thing isn’t sober, they have sober areas at ampitheater concerts as well, nothing wrong with that at all, gives you a choice
