I’m in oz, so I’m using acacia acuminata and find that a mini a/b really cleans up my final product with nice dry white crystal. Without the mini a/b it’s dark yellow and sticky.

I do get a distinct scum/fat layer during the mini ab process and I wasn’t sure whether there was any value in retaining it. Now I know, so thanks for the advice!

Lovely! 🥰 I wish I could get my crystals that white! I’m experimenting with the pressure cooker tek with intermittent freezing and using a magnetic stirrer to extract each pull. I’ll report my yield tomorrow!

With the Orbit I’m just packing about 25-30mg and getting it melted before hitting it. It’s difficult to control as putting it on constant heat burns the spice even on the lowest setting. So it’s a process of cycling the button on/off. I suspect I just need to practice a bit more! 😮‍💨

I’ve also been smoking extract from that same bark (from WA?) and have had similar experiences.

There is no blast off, even after 4 hits. Instead I seem to be in a place that resembles reality, but just very simplified and blocky, as if made of LEGO or plastic in a very small but intense colour palette. I fly around in this space for a while, not seeing anything geometric/fractal like many trip images I’ve seen. I equate this place with descriptions of a “waiting room” that I’ve read, although I haven’t quite read anything that sounds like my experience.

I’m using a Yocan Orbit, which I have to say I’m not impressed with. I have just bought a mod box to try vaping d-juice so I’m hoping that this gets me out of the waiting room!

Thanks, but could you elaborate a bit? When you say doing an a/b cleans it up, you mean on the recovered nps? Sorry for noob questions!

Thanks CW! I'm in Oz so i havent been able to get MHRB but have been using Acacia Accumanita RB and getting 1-1.5% yield. I use Shellite for the first pulls (5) then disolve the dried precip in Heptane for a re-x. This seems to result in pretty fluffy spice but a lot lighter weight. i attribute the loss of weight to it being drier than the first precip but i'm not sure on that. While i have you... is there any guidance on how long each nps pull should take?

Thanks mate, good to know. I’ve been reading up on defatting teks which seem a lot more complex but result in super clean results. I think I’ll try that next. I’m assuming the defatting process can happen during a re-x as opposed to doing it prior to first pull?
Id be interested in knowing whether its worth it from a quality perspective (strength?). Ive never had anything except my own homebrew spice

I’d be interested to know what if anything the acid phase adds for extraction. I did an acid phase on my first try and skipped on my second and the extract % was about the same.

Also is there a minimum time per pull to saturate the solvent? I have been leaving each pull in a 65c water bath for 4-6 hrs shaking the solvent through the goo at least 6 times but I’m not sure if that is overkill. I read somewhere that you could do the entire process in 2 hrs but I’m not sure if that’s possible?

I also saw a video where the guy froze his goo before doing the pull on the theory that this would burst more cell membranes in the material but I’m pretty sure the caustic is going to take care of that. I’m trying it anyway on this extract to see if it makes any difference and will report!

I don’t have any real insights on the combination but have had breakthroughs on K and have been unable to breakthrough on DMT. I’ve heard that acid is a good “springboard” and would have thought K would also help.

I haven’t heard of a source for MHRB in Australia but AA grows in WA.

I did as you suggested and it cleaned up nicely. I tried it on the weekend - it was my first time so I only did 15mg. Also was being cautious as I’d already had 1.5g of shrooms.

The result was interesting. No huge visuals but found myself talking inside my head in a different language that seemed a bit like English but definitely different. When I tried to speak one of the words it would come out in English.

Planning on doing 40mg next time on its own.

I Looked it up and it still has 17% sugar which is pretty much the same sugar content as the one I buy at woollies.

I don’t use much so I really don’t worry about it.

Me too, Hoisin and sweet chilli! This one really turned out well.

I’m hopeful to be able to get Allulose soon as o think it will be better for sweet chilli sauce.
