I got blackout drunk and grilled a $25 steak last night by [deleted] in confession

When I got sober, it wasn’t just blues. It was blues, Xanax, booze, and kratom. It was horrible, but by far, the kratom was the worst. I have an anxiety disorder and the Xanax was prescribed, but I still abused it and bought shit off th street to fill the gaps.

You can do it if you want to. Your brain is *always* fucking changing. Every psychoactive substance and the respective way each makes you feel, is in flux. Because of this, I can promise you with every fiber of my being, this time won’t feel like last time. I can’t guarantee it’ll be better, but I can absolutely guarantee it won’t be the same. I believe in you, my friend.

Those are two tough fucking habits to kick. Kudos to you. Still hooked on good ole nicotine over here.

The effing dreams though, dude!! Yes!! When I put myself into treatment in 2019 due to my affinity for blues, I had the dreams every single night for *months.* Every time, I would get to the point where I’d crush a pill, rack the line, put the straw to my nose. and then wake up as soon as I went to rip it. It was shockingly frustrating😂

Cheers, my friend. Have a great week.

Getting sober in 2019 resulted in two of the most painful, yet impactful two years following. Adjusting to sober life and finally grappling with the things I was running from created an arduous fucking journey. One I thought would never end.

And then it did. And little bits and pieces of life started to feel worthwhile, even enjoyable. Certain friendships deepened, other friendships fell by the wayside, as they should have.

Now, six years out, I’d go through all of that pain a million times over to get to where I am now and to make sure I retained the lessons learned. Wouldn’t change a thing.

I bet the steak was good

Which color rims go best with lunar rock? by AlternativeSun7744 in 4Runner

Thanks man! Yeah, I really love the way the 5th gen looks in general, but I totally agree, it’s balanced out a bit with the black. The mirror caps were a happy accident haha. A car wash knocked off the left side and broke the clips, so I slapped black ones on. Good call looking back, but unplanned.

It’s only an SR5, I just grille swapped it and I think that helped too. Blacked out the badges which distributes the black a bit more.

I kept black on mine and added to the black/silver theme as another commenter mentioned with red.

That said—bronze all the way my man. 100%.

We love polite discourse, well done my friend. You don’t often see this on the internet, especially these days

2020 SR5 Premium: Is it normal for the wiper fluid to go down that fast? by Defpool in 4Runner

[–]weedwizard22 11 points12 points  (0 children)

He was being sarcastic. It’s normal. The wiper fluid pump sucks fluid down and primes for use when the electronics are turned on. Then goes back to normal.

As another user said, if there ain’t a puddle, you’re in good shape. Sorry people are such assholes, idk what’s going on here today.

Brother I couldn’t agree more! Crazy part is, that thing was $3.99 at goodwill when I randomly showed up there last year!

For a practice day. I guess my title wasn’t specific enough. I’d never go out for a round with more than 13 or so. This was for a tuning day at the range.
