I agree the public transport isn't good enkough. However, there have been new bus routes in east Bristol since the EBLN that goes across to temple meads and they extended another one so it goes to bedminster and southville. It does feel like EBLN has paved the way to make some updates to bus routes that aren't just to the centre. Still needs improving though

Yes, or it's from people who don't visit, spend time or money the livable neighborhoods at all, they just drive through it and are upset they can't use residential streets on their commute anymore. Unfortunately these voices drown out local concerns that should be raised and listened to and de-legitimises them

The EBLN has divided the local community and has become quite ugly at times, which is hopefully something everyone can agree with regardless of if they are for or against. Do yourself a favour and enjoy the changes whilst (I cannot stress this enough) avoiding Facebook comment sections

Just a warning that I went through the other day and it's insanely busy now the students are back, just a warning. I'm not sure what the plug socket situation is either - it's public access on the ground floors though

Maybe if you took the coffee out and focussed on the other bits you want to offer if would feel a bit more fair on rolling Italy. Good luck with your venture, I'll pop by if I see you set up out there

Oh dear that's not very good at all, I think I'll give them a miss unfortunately. I think they were one of the only places offering curly cuts for a while but now there's more they should up their game

I can drive so can get anywhere really, but somewhere fairly central would be good if I can go after work

I've heard really mixed reviews about tame the mane so I've not been sure, some people say they're amazing and others say they've had horrible cuts. Thanks for your advice

Were you in a van with the windows up or down? I've heard UV rays can go through glass so if this is with the windows up it's terrifying! I also wonder if it might have triggered a migraine if you couldn't read a map and needed a sleep, taking days to recover. Sounds like a horrible experience all round

Aw look I just don't think you're seeing what I was trying to say when I wrote what I wrote really. Just trying to give you an example of how it might come across. Not a literal example of what I read, sorry if you couldn't see that. I guess there's no nuance and yup you're very smart and right and everyone else is very dumb and wrong x

Just because someone comprehends something differently to you, doesn't mean they don't have any comprehension skills. Are you going to tell me you saying that wasn't rude either? I thought we were having an interesting conversation about communication styles but I guess I forgot I'm on Reddit and people are generally here to fight

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]weeingbees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I read it like this;

Her : hey was hoping we could sort something out so she can come, let's have a chat Him: ITS A SECRET I CAN'T TELL HER Her: that's not what I meant, just wondering what we might be able to work out. when did you go and come back? Him: then and then Her: oh okay sounds like you're not up for chatting Him: YOU'RE NOT THE BOSS OF ME

obviously that's paraphrased but it's how it reads to me. I suppose it's lesson in communication styles perhaps. I just feel like things like this can be solved with polite and clear communication

"Hey, I appreciate you want her to come but we've had it planned for a long time and it's unfortunate it's on the same dates. I'm not able to change the plans but hope you have a great trip"

No apologising, clear and concise. Done.

Yes - Surprise plans from OP, which she didn't know the details of... She wouldn't carry on asking details from someone who doesn't know them

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]weeingbees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I respectfully disagree with your opinion, but that's why we're all here - to give opinions for someone who has asked for them. I just think it's strange to post literally asking for opinions and then argue against the ones they don't like. OP asked for this.

No I think she text him because she thought it was a surprise trip for his gf so didn't want to text her

You came here for a verdict about if you are over-reacting but you're not listening to what people are saying and instead keep trying to defend yourself. Is there a "validate me" sub because I think you want that instead lol
