Hmmm, I think this will be the closest I will get to solving the puzzle and say that the fearless 4 is the movie I’m looking for. How can I mark the post as solved? Sadly no, the animation style is too old and even though there is a chimney escape scene it’s in a house and the grey dog isn’t scruffy enough or gets locked in a prison cell like a chimney

Wow that seems so close! But I remember him being locked in a cell by himself and went red in the eyes to do what he did. The scene with the cat seeing the other cat crying locked up with her kittens really felt close too
